Phytofron is a herbal diuretic drug that is highly effective in urological diseases.
Release form and composition
Dosage form - coated tablets: orange, biconvex, round, smooth, with lighter and darker inclusions (30, 50 or 100 pcs. In polymeric polypropylene cans, equipped with a first opening control and a shock absorber, sealed with polyethylene plastic caps, in a cardboard box 1 can, 10, 15 or 20 pcs. in blisters made of PVC film and lacquered printed aluminum foil, in a cardboard box from 1 to 6 packages. Composition of 1 tablet:
- active substance: collection-powder from medicinal plant raw materials (rosemary medicinal leaves, lovage medicinal roots, centaury herbs in proportions 1 รท 1 รท 1, with the content of the sum of polyphenols in terms of pyrogallol not less than 0.74%) - 54 mg;
- auxiliary components: povidone K-30, lactose monohydrate, colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch;
- tablet shell: Capol polishing wax, magnesium carbonate, K-17 povidone, titanium dioxide, colloidal silicon dioxide, talc, sucrose, riboflavin, iron oxide red dye.
Pharmacological properties
Fitofron is one of the herbal preparations with diuretic, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effects.
Indications for use
Fitofron tablets are prescribed in the complex treatment of urological diseases:
- chronic kidney and bladder infections (pyelonephritis and cystitis);
- non-infectious chronic inflammation of the kidneys (interstitial nephritis, glomerulonephritis);
- the formation of urinary stones (as a means of preventing their formation, as well as after their removal).
Contraindications
Absolute:
- exacerbation of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer;
- glucose-galactose malabsorption, fructose and lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, sucrase / isomaltase deficiency;
- age up to 6 years;
- established hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Relative contraindications, in which the reception of Fitofron requires special care and careful medical supervision, gestation and the period of breastfeeding.
Fitofron, instructions for use: method and dosage
Fitofron tablets are intended for oral administration.
A single dose should be taken without chewing, washed down with water.
Recommended dosage regimen:
- school-age children: 1 pc. 3 times a day;
- adults: 2 pcs. 3 times a day.
Therapy should be continued for 14โ28 days after the severity of the disease has subsided.
It is important to drink plenty of fluids during treatment.
In cases where there is no improvement after therapy, the manifestations of pathology intensify or new symptoms appear, it is required to consult a doctor for advice.
The medicinal product should be used only according to the indications, route of administration and dosage specified in the instructions.
Side effects
During therapy with Fitofron, the development of allergic reactions and disorders of the gastrointestinal tract (diarrhea, nausea, vomiting) is possible.
