Eucasept is a herbal antimicrobial drug.
Release form and composition
Dosage form of release - nasal drops: clear liquid from blue to blue or greenish-blue, with menthol-fir smell (in dark glass vials of 10 or 15 ml with a dropper cap, in dark glass vials of 15 or 30 ml; in cardboard box 1 bottle).
Active substances in nasal drops:
- fir oil - 800 mg;
- eucalyptus oil - 50 mg;
- peppermint oil - 100 mg;
- α-tocopherol acetate - 170 mg.
Auxiliary components: propyl parahydroxybenzoate (nipazole), azulene, thymol, refined deodorized sunflower oil - up to 10,000 mg.

Pharmacodynamics
Eucasept has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.
Indications for use
- acute rhinitis;
- chronic rhinitis.
Contraindications
- allergic rhinitis;
- age under 2 years old;
- individual intolerance to the components contained in the preparation.
Nasal drops are used with caution in patients with previous operations in the nasal cavity.
Instructions for the use of Eucasept: method and dosage
Eucasept nasal drops are applied topically: they are instilled into each nasal passage (or previously applied to a cotton swab).
Recommended dosage regimen:
- adults: 2-3 drops 3-4 times a day;
- children: 1-2 drops 3-4 times a day.
The duration of treatment varies from 5 to 7 days. By agreement with the attending physician, it is possible to increase the duration or to repeat courses of therapy.
Side effects
During the period of application of nasal drops, allergic reactions may develop; edema, hyperemia, burning or itching of the nasal mucosa are rarely noted.
Overdose
There are no data on overdose.

Pediatric use
According to the instructions, Eucasept is contraindicated in children under the age of 2 years.
