Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Cernilton's active ingredient is a microbiologically fermented extract of pollen from plants of the Gramineae family.
One of the pharmacological effects of the drug is dose-dependent inhibition of cyclooxygenase and 5-lipoxygenase. As a result of the use of Cernilton, the synthesis of inflammatory mediators of the arachidonic acid cycle (leukotrienes and prostaglandins) is inhibited, as a result of which there is a decrease in the edema of the prostate tissue.
Cernilton helps to eliminate pain syndrome, has a muscle relaxant effect, which leads to relaxation of smooth muscle cells of the posterior wall of the urethra and, as a result, to improve urination.
Due to the selective blocking of αl-adrenergic receptors of the cells of the smooth muscle tissue of the urethra, the drug has an antiandrogenic effect.
The action of Cernilton is determined by the properties of the biologically active substances included in its composition:
- amino acids: the preparation contains 21 amino acids that contribute to the effect of vitamins and mineral salts, are required for the synthesis of proteins and / or stimulation of their formation;
- vitamins: Cernilton contains biotin, thiamine, niacin, choline, riboflavin, para-aminobenzoic acid, pantothenic acid, folacin, pyridoxine (vitamin B 6), cyanocobalamin (vitamin B 12), inositol (vitamin B 8), ascorbic acid (vitamin C), vitamins D, E, K, vegetable provitamins A;
- enzymes: Graminex GFX and G60 contain 6 classes of enzymes - ligase, oxidoreductase, transferase, lyase, hydrolase, isomerase; they have catalytic activity, which is necessary to provide cellular energy, and promote the processing of fats, carbohydrates, proteins and fibers in the body;
- trace elements: boron, titanium, calcium, silicon, iron, potassium, magnesium, copper, zinc, sulfur, manganese, phosphorus, molybdenum, selenium are necessary for the balanced functioning of the body;
- flavonoids: support high antioxidant activity; due to streptolysin-inhibiting factor, natural protection against streptococcal infection is provided.
