Pineamin is an innovative anti-climacteric drug of neurometabolic action with AntiAge effect to correct age-related changes in a woman's body.
Release form and composition
The drug is produced in the form of a lyophilisate for the preparation of a solution for intramuscular (i / m) administration: a porous mass or powder from white to white with a yellow tint (10 mg each in glass vials without color with a capacity of 5 ml, sealed with a rubber stopper with a rolling aluminum cap, on a tear-off plastic strip of pink or orange color there is an embossed inscription: "GEROPHARM"; 5 vials in blisters, 1 or 2 packs in a cardboard box and instructions for the use of Pineamin).
1 bottle contains:
- active substance: a complex of water-soluble polypeptide fractions of the pineal gland (pineal gland) of cattle not older than 12 months, isolated from dry pineamine extract - 10 mg;
- auxiliary component: glycine (as a stabilizer).
Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Pineamin is an anti-climacteric organopreparation. Its active substance is a complex of low molecular weight water-soluble polypeptide fractions obtained from the pineal gland of cattle. The action of the drug is aimed at optimizing the epiphyseal-hypothalamic relationship, normalizing the function of the anterior pituitary gland and the balance of gonadotropic hormones.
The results of experimental studies of the drug on female rats with an age-related decrease in fertility indicate an increase in their reproductive capacity and a tendency to an increase in libido. In addition, a slight sedative effect was noted on animals in terms of their psycho-emotional state. After daily intramuscular administration of the drug for 30 and 90 days in experimental animals, no negative changes in the functions of the cardiovascular, hematopoietic, nervous, urinary and respiratory systems, metabolism or deterioration of the general condition of the body were observed.
In postmenopausal women, the use of the drug demonstrates a positive effect on the neurovegetative manifestations of climacteric syndrome, significantly reducing the severity of such climacteric disorders according to the menopausal Kupperman index as hot flashes, headaches, hyperhidrosis, increased excitability, palpitations at rest, and sleep disturbances.
The absence of toxicity in Pineamin has been proven, even after the introduction of maximum doses exceeding the therapeutic dose by tens of thousands of times, acute toxicity is not observed. The drug does not affect the concentration of sex hormones in blood plasma.
Pharmacokinetics
After i / m administration of a complex of polypeptide fractions, its individual components are not detected by standard methods for pharmacokinetic analysis.
