Pharmacological properties
The dietary supplement SuperOptics contains biologically active substances that predominantly protect the macula of the retina and the lens of the eye from damaging factors.
The macula is the central and most sensitive part of the retina, on the normal functioning of which visual acuity depends. Factors that adversely affect its functioning are: prolonged exposure to intense light (ultraviolet radiation), smoking, age, and antioxidant deficiency. The negative influence of the described factors is mainly associated with the formation (including as a result of various metabolic processes) of free radicals. Their excess can lead to the development of such ophthalmic pathologies as cataracts and macular degeneration. Damage to the macular spot by radicals may impair vision and color perception, difficulty in reading, in frequent cases - loss of central vision, in exceptional cases - even blindness.
SuperOptics, in addition to protecting the eyes from the negative influence of external factors, also relieves the symptoms of fatigue due to prolonged visual stress, improves visual acuity and improves adaptation in the dark.
Properties of individual components of the supplement:
-
carotenoids (lutein and zeaxanthin - contained in the macula of the retina): increase the optical density of the macula, thereby ensuring the normal functioning of the retina and, as a result, vision.
Like a light filter, they protect the eyes from harmful ultraviolet radiation. Protect from the negative effects of free radicals (antioxidant effect);
- omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins C and E, manganese, copper, selenium: have a pronounced antioxidant effect. Vitamin E also contributes to the normal functioning of the retinal blood vessels. Docosahexaenoic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid, increases the sensitivity of photoreceptors;
- vitamin A: participates in the processes of protecting the conjunctiva of the eye from drying out. Once in the retina, it is converted into rhodopsin, a visual pigment necessary for visual acuity at dusk and in low light;
- B vitamins: increase the sensitivity of the retina, participate in the functioning of the nervous system, which innervates the organ of vision.
The biologically active substances contained in SuperOptics are not synthesized in the human body, but are necessary for the normal functioning of the visual apparatus, therefore they must be ingested with food.

Some patients leave only positive messages, noting the good composition of the dietary supplement, the improvement in well-being after the course of administration (eye fatigue has passed, visual perception has improved), and the ease of administration (1 capsule per day).
Negative reviews are due to the lack of effect from the use of SuperOptics or a short-term effect, the development of adverse reactions not described in the instructions (nausea, vomiting), the large size of the capsules (it is inconvenient to swallow) and / or the high price.
