Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

Subetta is a complex hypoglycemic drug intended for inclusion in the complex therapy of patients with diabetes mellitus if they have insulin resistance. The mechanism of action of the drug is due to the effect of a synergistic effect on the sensitivity of somatic cells to insulin, which occurs due to nonspecific NO-dependent activation of intracellular signal transduction from the insulin receptor. This increases the effectiveness of insulin therapy, allows you to stabilize the doses used, and reduce the likelihood of side effects.

Through the mechanisms of allosteric modulation, antibodies to the C-terminal fragment of the beta subunit sensitize the insulin receptor, which leads to an increase in its sensitivity to endogenous and administered insulin and activation of the metabolism of insulin-dependent glucose.

Antibodies to the beta subunit have a moderately pronounced hypoglycemic effect (when taken on an empty stomach, the level of glycemia decreases by 0.7-1.4 mmol / l). Their long-term use is not accompanied by the development of side effects in the form of hypoglycemia, acidosis, impaired hemostasis and hematopoiesis, increased body weight.

The effect of antibodies to endothelial NO synthase causes an increase in the activity of endothelial NO synthase and the content of NO, which has an endothelioprotective effect. There is a decrease in vascular reactivity, a decrease in vascular spasm, the level of blood pressure normalizes, and peripheral microcirculation improves. In addition, antibodies to endothelial NO synthase have a moderately pronounced psychotropic effect, which is manifested by such effects as anti-anxiety, antiasthenic, vegetative stabilizing.

While taking the drug, the severity of complications of diabetes mellitus decreases: cardiovascular disorders, nephropathies, neuropathies.

Pharmacokinetics

Ultra-low doses of antibodies are technically impossible to detect in biological fluids, tissues and organs, therefore, the pharmacokinetics of the drug has not been studied.

Indications for use

The use of Subetta is indicated for patients with diabetes mellitus with insulin resistance as part of complex therapy.

Contraindications

The use of Subetta tablets is contraindicated in patients with individual hypersensitivity to the drug components.
