Release form and composition
Dosage form of the release of Stopussin-Fito - syrup: transparent, thick, brown, with a thyme smell (in dark glass bottles of 100 ml, in a cardboard box 1 bottle with a measuring cap / dosage cup or without it).
Active substances in 1 ml of syrup (in the form of a liquid extract):
- thyme - 41.666 mg;
- thyme - 41.666 mg;
- plantain - 41.666 mg.
Auxiliary components: sodium benzoate - 1.25 mg; honey - 225 mg; sucrose - 620 mg; propyl parahydroxybenzoate - 0.24 mg; water - up to 1 ml.

Stoptussin-Fito is an expectorant of herbal origin.
It has anti-inflammatory and expectorant effects, helps to reduce the viscosity of sputum.
Indications for use
Stoptussin-Fito syrup is prescribed simultaneously with other drugs in the treatment of chronic and acute inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, which occur with a cough with difficult sputum:
- bronchitis;
- tracheitis;
- tracheobronchitis.
Contraindications
Absolute:
- decompensation of cardiac activity;
- liver and kidney disease;
- violation of the assimilation of galactose and glucose;
- congenital fructose intolerance;
- lack of an enzyme that breaks down isomaltose and sucrose;
- age up to 1 year;
- pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding;
- individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
Relative (diseases / conditions in the presence of which the appointment of Stopussin-Fito requires caution, which is associated with the ethanol and sucrose included in the drug):
- alcoholism;
- brain injury or disease;
- epilepsy;
- diabetes;
- age 1-18 years.
Instructions for use Stopussin-Fito: method and dosage
Stoptussin-Fito syrup is taken orally, preferably after a meal (due to the possibility of reducing appetite).
Recommended dosage regimen:
- adults and children from 15 years old: 3-5 times a day, 1 tablespoon;
- children 10-15 years old: 3 times a day, 2-3 teaspoons;
- children 5-10 years old: 3 times a day, 1-2 teaspoons;
- children 1–5 years old: 2-3 times a day, 0.5–1 teaspoon.
The average duration of the treatment course is 7 days. On the recommendation of a doctor, the duration of admission can be increased, it is possible to repeat the course.
