Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Kashnol is a combination drug that contains ingredients that are used to treat coughs that accompany various pulmonary diseases. The drug demonstrates expectorant, mucolytic and bronchodilator effects.
Salbutamol has bronchodilator activity, selectively acting on the beta-2-adrenergic receptors of the bronchi.
Bromhexine provides sputum liquefaction and an increase in its volume. The mucolytic effect of this component is due to its ability to depolymerize and liquefy mucopolysaccharide fibers and mucoproteins.
Guaifenesin exhibits an expectorant effect, helping to reduce the adhesiveness and surface tension of sputum, and facilitates its discharge.
Menthol has mild antiseptic properties, has a calming effect and reduces irritation of the respiratory tract mucosa.
