Materna is a mineral and vitamin complex.
Release form and composition
Materna is produced in the form of coated tablets (100 pcs. In vials, 1 bottle in a cardboard box).
The composition of 1 tablet includes active substances: zinc - 25 mg, manganese - 5 mg, chromium - 0.025 mg, iodine - 0.15 mg, calcium - 250 mg, molybdenum - 0.025 mg, iron - 60 mg, magnesium - 25 mg, copper - 2 mg, retinol - 5,000 IU (international units), ascorbic acid - 100 mg, pantothenic acid - 10 mg, folic acid - 1 mg, colecalciferol - 400 IU, tocopherol - 30 IU, thiamine - 3 mg, cyanocobalamin - 0.012 mg, biotin - 0.03 mg, riboflavin - 3.4 mg, pyridoxine - 10 mg, nicotinamide - 20 mg.
Indications for use
Materna is prescribed for the prevention of the following diseases / conditions:
- Iron deficiency anemia (violation of hemoglobin synthesis due to iron deficiency) in pregnant women;
- Deficiency of minerals and vitamins in women during breastfeeding;
- Calcium deficiency in the third trimester of pregnancy in the mother's body.
Also, the drug is indicated for use during pregnancy planning in order to provide the woman's body with the necessary trace elements and vitamins.
Contraindications
A contraindication to the use of Materna is hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
In case of pernicious anemia, the drug should be taken with caution.
Method of administration and dosage
Materna is taken orally 1 tablet per day (in the absence of other doctor's prescriptions).
