Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
When taking Piyavit, the onset slows down and the blood coagulation process lengthens. The plasma and platelet link of hemostasis is blocked simultaneously. Piyavit has a protective effect on the endothelium; reduces the adhesion of platelets to the subendothelium, having a high affinity for collagen.
It has fibrinolytic activity, which differs from the action of plasmin. Reduces blood viscosity, prevents the growth of blood clots in blood vessels, and also promotes their resorption. The development of the thrombolytic effect is slow.
According to the instructions, Piyavit has a moderate anti-inflammatory effect. In patients with thrombophlebitis, it improves regional blood supply and reduces pain.
