Release form and composition
Laennek's dosage form is a solution for injection: transparent, from brown to light yellow, with a characteristic odor (in dark glass ampoules, 2 ml each, in a cardboard box of 10 or 50 ampoules).
Composition of 1 ml solution:
- active substance: human placenta hydrolyzate - 0.056 g;
- auxiliary components: hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide (pH corrector), water for injection.
Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
By stimulating humoral immunity and increasing the functional activity of natural killer cells and phagocytes, Laennek exhibits its immunomodulatory properties. The drug increases the bactericidal activity of peripheral blood leukocytes, which is manifested in their ability to destroy the captured pathogen.
The actions of the drug Laennek, due to the active substance included in its composition:
- activation of the metabolic and supervisory function of skin cells;
- increased tissue respiration activity;
- reducing the deposition of lipids and cholesterol in the liver cells;
- manifestation of detoxification properties;
- stimulating the regeneration of hepatocytes;
- a decrease in the intensity of the development of connective tissue in the liver;
- activation of metabolism in the liver.
Indications for use
- chronic recurrent herpes, atopic dermatitis of moderate and severe course, including complicated (as part of complex treatment);
- chronic liver diseases: steatohepatitis of alcoholic, metabolic and mixed origin (as monotherapy).
Contraindications
Absolute:
- childhood;
- pregnancy;
- period of breastfeeding;
- individual intolerance to the components that make up the drug.
Relative (diseases / conditions in the presence of which the appointment of Laennec requires caution):
- polyvalent drug allergy;
- elderly age.
Instructions for the use of Laennek: method and dosage
The solution is administered intravenously (IV) drip or intramuscularly (IM).
Dosing regimen:
- chronic recurrent herpes and atopic dermatitis: 0.01 L of the drug is injected intravenously through the cubital vein into 0.25–0.5 L of saline or 5% dextrose solution for 1.5–2 hours. The frequency of injections is 3 once every 7 days, observing the interval between injections of 2 days. Duration of therapy - 10 injections;
- chronic liver disease: i.m., 0.002 l of the drug per day. Depending on the severity of the pathology, it is possible to increase the frequency of injections by 2–3 times (up to 0.006 l per day). Also, the drug can be injected intravenously through the cubital vein daily at 0.01 L Laennec in 0.25–0.5 L saline or 5% dextrose solution for 1.5–2 hours. Treatment duration - 14–21 days …
Side effects
During the period of Laennec's use, allergic reactions may develop, including anaphylactic shock, soreness and numbness at the injection site, gynecomastia.
