Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Diovenges is a combined venotonic drug with an angioprotective effect, used in the treatment of functional and organic chronic venous insufficiency of the lower extremities and hemorrhoids.
The activity of its active substances (diosmin + hesperidin) is aimed at reducing the elasticity of the veins and venous stasis, reducing the permeability and increasing the resistance of the capillaries.
The therapeutic effect of Diovenges in patients with symptoms of increased capillary fragility is confirmed by the results of stereometric studies, which indicate an increase in vascular resistance. In patients with venous insufficiency of the lower extremities, occlusive plethysmography demonstrates a decrease in the time of venous emptying.
The dose-dependent effect of the drug is characteristic of such venous plethysmographic parameters as venous capacity, venous extensibility and venous emptying time. The use of Diovenges in a daily dose of 2 tablets ensures the achievement of an optimal clinical effect.
Pharmacokinetics
After oral administration, the active components of Diovenges undergo active metabolism, including the formation of phenolic acids.
The half-life is 11 hours. It is excreted mainly through the intestines, through the kidneys - about 14% of the dose taken.
There is no information on the excretion of the drug in breast milk.
Indications for use
The use of Diowenges is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of the following diseases:

Before starting the use of Diovenges, as well as in case of deterioration of the condition and the appearance of side effects during treatment or the absence of a clinical effect, it is necessary to consult a doctor.
Taking the drug for acute hemorrhoids does not replace specific therapy for other anal disorders. If, after passing the recommended course of therapy, the symptoms of acute hemorrhoids do not disappear, it is necessary to contact a proctologist, who will draw up a further treatment regimen and select the appropriate medications.
It should be borne in mind that when treating disorders of venous circulation, walking and wearing special decompression stockings contribute to improving blood circulation. The maximum clinical effect is achieved when the drug is combined with a healthy lifestyle, including a short stay on your feet or under the influence of direct sunlight, weight loss with an excess body mass index.
