Depantol is a combined preparation with antimicrobial and regenerating action in the form of suppositories (for local use in gynecology) or a cream for external use.
Release form and composition
Dosage forms of Depantol:
- vaginal suppositories: torpedo-shaped, with a funnel-shaped depression, white with a gray or yellow tint, or white, marbling is acceptable (5 pcs. in blisters, in a cardboard box 1 or 2 packages);
- cream for external use: almost white or white (25, 30 or 50 g in aluminum tubes, in a cardboard box 1 tube).
1 suppository contains:
- active ingredients: chlorhexidine bigluconate - 16 mg (in the form of a 20% solution of chlorhexidine bigluconate - 85.2 mg); dexpanthenol - 100 mg;
- auxiliary components: macrogol 400, macrogol 1500.
1000 mg of cream contains:
- active ingredients: dexpanthenol - 52.5 mg, chlorhexidine bigluconate - 8.02 mg;

Depantol is a drug for local and external use, the combined composition of which has an antimicrobial, regenerating and metabolic effect due to the pharmacodynamic activity of the components of the drug:
- chlorhexidine: an antiseptic that is active against the following gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms - Treponema pallidum, Gardnerella vaginalis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia spp. (speciales), Streptococcus spp., Ureaplasma spp., Escherichia coli, Bacteroides fragilis, Staphylococcus spp., protozoa (Trichomonas vaginalis), dermatophytes, yeast. Some strains of Proteus spp. Exhibit mild sensitivity. and Pseudomonas spp. Acid-fast forms of bacteria and bacterial spores are insensitive to chlorhexidine;
- dexpanthenol: stimulates the regeneration of mucous membranes, normalizes cell metabolism, accelerates mitosis, increases the strength of collagen fibers; has an anti-inflammatory effect.
According to the instructions, Depantol does not affect the functional activity of lactobacilli.

- true erosion of the cervix of a specific genesis (as part of complex therapy).
Cream for external use
- abrasions, cuts, scratches, cracks, scratches, insect bites, burns, trophic ulcers and other skin lesions at risk of infection (for preventive treatment);
- wound surfaces, postoperative sutures (treatment and prophylactic treatment);
- infected dermatoses, including atopic dermatitis, eczema (treatment);
- infected wounds, bedsores, abrasions, burns (including sunburn), cuts, cracks, diaper rash, trophic ulcers (treatment);
- symptoms of infection with diaper dermatitis, scratches in children;

Contraindications

Vaginal suppositories
Suppositories Depantol is used intravaginally, having previously been freed from the contour packaging.
Recommended dosage: 1 pc. 2 times a day. Duration of the course is 7-10 days. To achieve the desired therapeutic effect, the treatment can be extended up to 20 days.
Cream for external use
