Glycine-MCPP is a metabolic drug for improving metabolic processes in the brain, has a sedative and antidepressant effect.

Release form and composition

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

Glycine-MHFP is a drug that regulates the metabolism of the brain. As an active ingredient, it contains glycine, a nonessential amino acid, which is a central neurotransmitter of an inhibitory type of action; possesses GABA-ergic, glycineergic, antioxidant, alpha 1 -adrenoceptor blocking and antitoxic activity. It normalizes and activates the processes of protective inhibition in the central nervous system by regulating the activity of glutamate (N-methyl-D-aspartate or NMDA) receptors.

Taking the drug provides a decrease in the predisposition to aggressiveness and conflict, increases the patient's social adaptation. Promotes increased mental performance, improved mood. Facilitates falling asleep and normalizes sleep. Glycine is able to reduce disorders of the autonomic nervous system (including symptoms of vascular dystonia in the climacteric period), as well as stop the toxic effects of ethanol and other drugs with a depressing effect on the function of the central nervous system.

Pharmacokinetics

After oral administration, glycine easily penetrates into the brain, other tissues and body fluids.

It is metabolized in the liver with the participation of glycine oxidase to form water and carbon dioxide.

Does not accumulate in tissues.

Indications for use

Conditions / diseases for which it is recommended to use Glycine-MHFP:

  • weakening of mental performance;
  • psychoemotional stress during conflicts, during exams and in other stressful situations;
  • deviant behavior in children and adolescents;
  • neurosis-like conditions, neuroses, vegetative dystonia syndrome, consequences of traumatic brain injury and neuroinfections, encephalopathy (including perinatal, encephalopathy of alcoholic origin) and other diseases of the nervous system of functional or organic etiology, which are accompanied by emotional instability, increased excitability, sleep disturbance, decreased mental health;
  • cerebral infarction.

In addition, in narcology, Glycine-MHFP tablets are used during remission to increase mental performance and reduce psychoemotional stress in cases of encephalopathy, organic damage to the central and peripheral nervous system.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated to take pills in patients with hypersensitivity to the drug components.

Glycine-MCPP tablets are taken sublingually (holding under the tongue until completely dissolved) or buccal (placing in the oral cavity or between the gum and upper lip until completely absorbed, including in a powdered form).

When prescribing the drug to children under the age of three years, the tablet should first be ground into powder, then dissolved in a teaspoon of water.

Recommended dosage of Glycine-MHFP:

  • psycho-emotional stress; weakening of memory, mental performance, attention; mental retardation; deviant forms of behavior: adults, adolescents and children - 1 pc. 3 times a day. The duration of the course is from 14 to 30 days;
  • functional and organic lesions of the nervous system, accompanied by increased excitability, sleep disturbance, emotional lability: children under the age of three - 1/2 pcs. (50 mg) 2-3 times a day for 7-14 days. Then, within 7-10 days - 1/2 pcs. 1 per day. The maximum daily dose is 150 mg, the course dose is 2600 mg (26 pcs.). Patients over three years old - 1 pc. 2-3 times a day, the duration of the course of treatment is 7-14 days, if necessary, it is extended to 30 days. After 30 days, the course can be repeated;
  • sleep disturbance: children - 1/2 each, adults - 1 piece. taken immediately before bedtime or 20 minutes before bedtime;
  • cerebral infarction: after the development of cerebral infarction during the first 3–6 hours - 10 pcs. buccal or sublingual with 1 teaspoon of water. Then 10 pcs. per day in a course of 1–5 days. Over the next 30 days, treatment is continued at a dose of 1-2 pcs. 3 times a day;
  • remission in case of encephalopathy and organic lesions of the nervous system in narcology: used in a dose of 1 pc. 2-3 times a day for 14-30 days. If necessary, taking the drug can be repeated at intervals of 60–90 days.
