Gidazepam is a tranquilizer with anti-anxiety and anticonvulsant effects.
Active ingredient: Hydrazinocarbonylmethylbromophenyldihydrobenzdiazepine.
pharmachologic effect
In the instructions for Gidazepam, the drug is indicated as a tranquilizer with anti-anxiety and anticonvulsant action.
Unlike drugs with a similar effect, Gidazepam has an activating effect and leads to mild muscle relaxation.
Indications for the use of Gidazepam
The use of Gidazepam is necessary for neurotic, psychopathic, neurosis-like and psychopathic asthenia, with anxiety, fear, migraines, increased irritability, tension, with various obsessions, sleep disorders and with emotional instability, to relieve alcohol withdrawal syndrome (withdrawal symptoms) with alcoholism and the period of recovery of patients with chronic alcoholism (period of remission).
Release form
Gidazepam is available in the form of tablets of 20 mg or 50 mg.
Method of administration and dosage
The use of Gidazepam for the treatment of psycho-like conditions should be carried out in doses from 0.06 g of active ingredient to 0.2 g:
- with migraines and stuttering - from 0.04 to 0.06 g,
- for the removal of alcoholic conditions, the agent is prescribed from 0.05 g, on average - 0.15 g,
- in the absence of clinical manifestations, the drug is used as a means for a maintenance course of therapy in the event of neurotic conditions, the average dose per day is 0.05-0.15 g.
The duration of the course of drug therapy depends on the patient's condition and the individual tolerance of the drug. The course can last 3-4 months. Assign orally three times a day, and gradually increase the dose, but the maximum dose per day is up to 0.5 g.
Contraindications to the use of Gidazepam
The use of Gidazepam is contraindicated in hypersensitivity, myasthenia gravis, hepatic failure, renal failure in chronic form, during pregnancy and during lactation.
Use with caution in open-angle glaucoma.
Side effects
According to reviews of Gidazepam, sometimes when it is taken, drowsiness, muscle weakness, lethargy, a slowdown in the speed of reactions (motor and mental) can occur, addiction can develop, with prolonged treatment with high doses - drug dependence.
Sometimes, a violation of the cerebellum (staggering when walking), decreased concentration, memory impairment, indigestion, decreased potency and sexual desire, menstrual irregularities, and allergic reactions also develop.
Interaction with medicinal products
Gidazepam enhances the effect of ethanol, hypnotics, neuroleptics and narcotic analgesics on the central nervous system.
Storage conditions
Store gidazepam in a dry, dark place.
