Release form and composition

The drug is available in the form of an ointment for external and local use - from yellow to pale yellow, homogeneous, with a specific odor (45 g each in aluminum tubes, 1 tube each in a cardboard box).

The composition of 1 g of ointment includes:

  • Active substance: mother liquor of Lake Pomorie - 120 mg;
  • Auxiliary components: distilled water - 340 mg; castor oil - 350 mg; anhydrous lanolin - 150 mg; carboxymethyl cellulose (Tylose C30) - 40 mg.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

The preparation of natural origin Vulnuzan contains a number of micro- and macroelements important for the human body: chloride of sodium, copper, iron, iodine, beryllium, titanium, potassium, selenium, manganese, calcium, bromine, chlorine, molybdenum, zinc, bismuth, silicium, arsene, chloride and magnesium sulfate, aluminum sulfate, acids, colloidal substances and other organic compounds.

The drug has an anti-inflammatory and disinfectant effect, stimulates immunobiological defense reactions (the formation of antibodies and phagocytosis), inhibits pathogenic bacterial flora, stimulates the processes of tissue regeneration and epithelization of wound surfaces.

Indications for use

  • Varicose ulcers, cracked nipples of the mammary gland, erosion of the cervix, ulceration that occurs with Buerger's disease;
  • Medicinal natural reversible changes in the epidermis of the skin (maceration);
  • Purulent wounds of various origins: surgical, infected;
  • Superficial purulent processes (including post-injection and pararectal abscesses), atherosclerotic and post-traumatic wounds, trophic ulcers.

Contraindications

  • Children under 12 years of age;
  • Hypersensitivity to the components of the ointment.

Instructions for use of Vulnuzan: method and dosage

Vulnuzan ointment should be applied in a layer up to 3 mm thick over the entire area of the wound surface and covered with a sterile dressing on top.

When treating cracks in the nipples of the mammary gland, the ointment after feeding the baby should be applied to the area of the cracks several times a day.

For the treatment of abscesses with a large cavity, up to 10-15 g of ointment are usually used. At the beginning of therapy, the dressings should be changed daily, after improvement - every other day.

During the treatment of cervical erosion, the ointment is applied to a tampon, which is inserted into the vagina 1 time a day, in the evening. The duration of the therapeutic course is from 10 to 15 days.
