Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Albendazole is effectively used to treat various diseases caused by parasites that cause tissue damage in the intestinal region. Adult helminths, as well as their larvae and eggs, are sensitive to this substance. The anthelmintic effect of albendazole causes tubulin polymerization, which leads to disturbances in the metabolism of helminths and their further death.
Albendazole is active against a wide variety of intestinal and tissue helminths, as well as protozoa. In many cases, it helps to reduce the size or complete disappearance of the cyst of granular echinococcus.
Pharmacokinetics
When taken orally, albendazole is poorly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. The absorption of the active ingredient is significantly increased by taking Vormil along with fatty foods. Albendazole has a first pass effect through the liver, where it is rapidly metabolized. The main metabolite is albendazole sulfate, the pharmacological activity of which is approximately 50% higher than that of albendazole itself.
The half-life is 8.5 hours. Albendazole is excreted mainly in urine and bile. If the drug is prescribed in high doses for a long time to treat cysts, the elimination of metabolites from the cysts may continue for several weeks.

Reviews about Vormila
According to reviews, Vormil is a fairly popular drug, so reports of its high effectiveness are frequent. Treatment with them usually gives good results, which is confirmed by reports of both doctors and patients. Often, Vormil is prescribed to the whole family, and the test results prove that it is possible to get rid of the problems quickly enough.
However, some parasitologists, noting the high efficacy of the drug in relation to most parasites, simultaneously note a decrease in immunity and the development of other adverse reactions. Vormil is suitable for use in children, but it should only be taken after consulting a specialist and passing all the necessary tests.
The price of Vormil in pharmacies
At the moment, the price of Vormil remains unknown, since the drug is not available for sale.
