Vikalin is a combined drug intended for the treatment of conditions associated with disorders of gastric acidity. It has antacid, astringent, anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, mild laxative and antispasmodic effect.

Release form and composition

Dosage form - tablets, light brown in color, interspersed, round flat-cylindrical shape with a chamfer and a score (10 tablets each in blister or non-blister packs, in a cardboard box of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 packs and instructions for use Vikalina).

Composition of active ingredients in 1 tablet:

  • Calamus root - 25 mg;
  • Buckthorn bark - 25 mg;

The effect of the drug is due to the properties of its components:

  • Sodium bicarbonate and magnesium carbonate, the main one, help to reduce the acidity of gastric juice, reduce the activity of pepsin;
  • Bismuth nitrate is essential for the formation of a protective film on the gastric mucosa, has anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, reparative properties;
  • Buckthorn bark has a laxative effect;
  • Rutin has weak anti-inflammatory efficacy;
  • Kellin and calamus rhizomes have an antispasmodic effect.

Vikalin tablets are used as part of complex therapy for the following diseases / conditions:
