Boric ointment is an antiseptic (antibacterial, antifungal, antiparasitic) that is widely used in dermatology.
International name: Boric acid.
Pharmacological group: antiseptic.

Indications for use of Boric ointment
The use of Boric ointment is possible in the following cases:
- For skin diseases (different types of eczema, dermatitis, pyoderma, diaper rash),

- With parasitic diseases (head lice).
- For contraception (ointment in combination with oxyquinoline sulfate).

Instructions for the use of Boric ointment and doses
Boric ointment is applied only externally.
With conjunctivitis, ointment is placed in the conjunctival sac, with otitis media - in the ear canal, with dermatitis, the ointment is applied only to intact skin.
For head lice, 10-25g of ointment is applied to the scalp, hold for 20-30 minutes and washed off with warm water. After the procedure, carefully comb the hair with a comb.
Contraindications to the use of Boric ointment
Contraindications to applying the ointment to the skin are: individual intolerance to the components of the drug, chronic renal failure, inflammatory skin diseases in the acute period, pregnancy, age up to 1 year, the period of breastfeeding (you cannot treat the breast skin with ointment before feeding the baby).
With extensive damage to the body, the drug is applied carefully, only on the intact skin.
Side effects
