Methylethylpyridinol - antioxidant, inhibitor of free radical processes.

It has a beneficial effect on the blood coagulation system: it reduces blood viscosity, lengthens its coagulation time, inhibits platelet aggregation. It stabilizes the membranes of erythrocytes and blood vessel cells, increases the resistance of erythrocytes to hemolysis and mechanical injury.

Increases the content of cyclic nucleotides in platelets (cyclic adenosine monophosphate and cyclic guanosine monophosphate), reduces the permeability of the vascular wall, promotes resorption of hemorrhages, and has fibrinolytic activity.

Improves microcirculation in eye tissues, including retinal vessels. It has a retinoprotective effect, protects the retina from the damaging effects of high intensity light.
