Release form and composition
The drug is produced in the form of tablets for resorption with various fruit flavors: biconvex, round; ordinary - cherry red, lemon - yellow, orange - orange, ginger-lemon - orange with a brown tint, orange-menthol - from orange to dark orange, honey-lemon - from pale yellow to yellow brown, cherry-menthol - from red to dark orange, menthol-eucalyptus - green, blackcurrant-menthol - brown-purple; possible uneven coloring, the presence of air bubbles in the caramel mass and a slight unevenness of the edges (8 pieces in a blister made of aluminum foil and polyvinyl chloride film, in a cardboard box 2 blisters and instructions for using Astrasept).
1 lozenge contains:
- active ingredients: amylmetacresol - 0.6 mg; 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol - 1.2 mg;
- excipients: citric acid (excluding honey-lemon tablets), glucose, sucrose, levomenthol.
Dyes and flavors included in the tablets (depending on the taste of the tablets):
- usual: crimson dye (Ponso 4R), azorubin dye, menthol oil, anise oil;
- orange: sunset yellow dye, orange flavor;
- lemon: sunset yellow dye, quinoline yellow dye, lemon flavor;

Astrasept is a combined antimicrobial agent for topical application in the oral cavity and pharynx. The drug exhibits antiseptic properties, demonstrates activity against gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms.
Indications for use
The drug is recommended for the treatment of infectious and inflammatory lesions of the oral cavity and pharynx (relieves irritation and relieves sore throat).
