Moisturizing solution ophthalmic Artelac Balance
Moisturizing solution ophthalmic Artelac Balance

Artelak Balance is a solution used to moisturize and lubricate the surface of the eyes.

Release form and composition

Dosage form - ophthalmic moisturizing solution: transparent liquid with a slightly pinkish tint (in a cardboard box 1 dropper bottle of 10 ml).

Composition of 100 ml solution:

  • active substance: hyaluronic acid (in the form of sodium hyaluronate) - 150 mg;
  • auxiliary components: "Oxide", calcium chloride dihydrate, boric acid, vitamin B 12 (cyanocobalamin), polyethylene glycol 8000 (Protector), sodium and potassium chloride, magnesium chloride hexahydrate, water for injection.

Pharmacological properties

Artelak Balance is designed to moisturize and lubricate the surface of the eyes. The solution contains 0.15% sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid), its efficiency is optimized by polyethylene glycol - a film-forming polymer.

Sodium hyaluronate is normally present in the tear fluid. The substance forms a stable and long-lasting film on the surface of the eye.

Vitamin B 12 helps to protect the cells of the surface of the eye from damage associated with free radicals. The presence in the composition of Artelak The balance of cyanocobalamin (vitamin B 12) determines its pink tint.

Electrolytes (chlorides, potassium, sodium, magnesium and calcium), which are part of the solution, provide biochemical processes in the cell.

An additional component of Artelaka Balance - "Oxide", is a new system of preservatives. Thanks to its action, the sterility of the solution is maintained for two months from the moment the package is opened. On contact with the surface of the eye, "Oxide" breaks down into water, oxygen and sodium chloride, which are naturally present in tears and do not irritate the mucous membrane of the eye.

When using the solution, the physiological state of the eye surface remains unchanged.

Indications for use

  • chronic lack of tears, which requires long-term relief of symptoms (in the form of burning, fatigue, gritty eyes, redness / inflammation of the eyes), accompanied by painful sensations;
  • severe dry eyes associated with therapy with certain drugs, including antispasmodics, contraceptives, diuretics, beta-blockers, antihistamines.

According to the instructions, Artelak Balance is contraindicated in case of individual intolerance to its components.
