Release form and composition
Dosage forms of the drug release:
- lozenges: flat-cylindrical, chamfered, on one side there is a risk and the inscription "MATERIA MEDICA", on the other side - the inscription "ANAFERON KID"; the color of the tablets is from almost white to white (20 pcs. in blisters, in a cardboard box of 1, 2 or 5 packages);

- active substance: antibodies to human gamma-interferon affinity purified (water-alcohol mixture applied to lactose monohydrate, containing no more than 10-16 ng / g of the active form of the substance) - 3 mg;

Pharmacodynamics
Anaferon for children has antiviral and immunomodulatory effects. When conducting preclinical / clinical studies, its effectiveness against influenza viruses, parainfluenza, herpes simplex viruses of types 1 and 2 (including genital and labial herpes), other herpes viruses (including infectious mononucleosis, chicken pox), enteroviruses, respiratory syncytial virus (PC virus), rotavirus, adenovirus, calicivirus, tick-borne encephalitis virus, coronavirus.
Anaferon for children helps to reduce the concentration of the virus in the affected tissues, affects the system of endogenous interferons and cytokines coupled with them, induces the formation of endogenous early interferons (IFN α / β) and gamma-interferon (IFN γ).
It has a stimulating effect on the cellular and humoral immune response. Increases the production of antibodies (including secretory IgA), activates the functions of T-helpers (Tx), T-effectors, and also normalizes their ratio. Promotes an increase in the functional reserve of Th and other cells that are involved in the immune response.
Also, Anaferon for children is an inducer of a mixed Tx1- and Th2-immune response, which manifests itself in the form of an increase in the production of cytokines Tx1 (IFN γ, IL-2) and Tx2 (IL-4, 10), restoration (modulation) of the balance of Th1 / Th2. Increases the functional activity of natural killer cells (NK cells) and phagocytes. Possesses antimutagenic properties.

- ARVI (acute respiratory viral infections), including influenza - for treatment and prevention;
- infections caused by herpes viruses (chickenpox, infectious mononucleosis, genital herpes, labial herpes) - as part of a comprehensive treatment;
- chronic herpesvirus infection, incl. labial and genital herpes - as part of complex treatment and for the prevention of relapse;
- other acute and chronic viral infections caused by enterovirus, tick-borne encephalitis virus, rotavirus, calicivirus, coronavirus - as part of complex treatment and for prevention;
- bacterial infections - as part of complex treatment;
- secondary immunodeficiency states of various etiologies (including prevention and therapy of complications of bacterial and viral infections) - as part of complex treatment.
Contraindications
- neonatal period (children's age up to 1 month);
- individual hypersensitivity to components.
Instructions for the use of Anaferon for children: method and dosage
Anaferon tablets for children are taken orally, between meals, holding in the mouth until completely dissolved (sublingually or buccal), 1 tablet at a time.
Recommended dosing regimen, if there are no other prescriptions:
- influenza, ARVI, herpesvirus infections, intestinal infections, neuroinfections: it is recommended to start therapy at the first appearance of signs of acute viral infection using the following scheme: the first 2 hours of the tablets are taken 1 pc. every half hour, after which 3 more pieces are taken until the end of the first day. at regular intervals; from the second day and in the future, take 1 pc. 3 times a day until complete recovery;
- genital herpes (acute manifestations): at regular intervals, take pills according to the following scheme: from 1 to 3 days - 1 pc. 8 times a day, then - 1 pc. 4 times a day for 3 weeks or more;
- chronic herpesvirus infection (prevention of relapse): 1 pc. 1 time per day, the duration of the preventive course by the attending physician is determined individually and can reach six months;
- treatment and prevention of immunodeficiency states (as part of the complex therapy of bacterial infections): 1 pc. Once a day.
If there is no improvement by the end of the third day of therapy with ARVI and influenza, it is necessary to consult a doctor.
In the season of epidemics, for the purpose of prevention, Anaferon for children is taken daily for 1-3 months at a dose of 1 tablet per day.
For young children (from 1 month to 3 years), it is recommended to dissolve the tablet in 15-20 ml of boiled water at room temperature before use.
Anaferon drops for children are taken orally, in between meals. The first five doses of the drug on the first day of therapy should be carried out in the interval between feedings or 15 minutes before the start of feeding or fluid intake.
Drops are dosed into a spoon, for 1 dose - 10 drops.
Treatment regimen: on the first day, take 10 drops every half hour for two hours, in the remaining time - 3 doses in the same dose at regular intervals. From the 2nd to the 5th day of therapy - 10 drops 3 times a day.
