Dry skin of the face is a fairly common phenomenon that can cause certain discomfort in its owner: a feeling of dryness, tightness. It is easy to determine this type of skin: just wash with cold water and listen to its "emotions". If it peels off easily and “complains” of roughness, then your skin is dry.
How to care for dry skin?
This type of skin requires careful and delicate treatment. Dry skin does not tolerate tap water, so it is better to wash your face with melt water or special cleansing lotions. Hard water can be made softer by adding a little glycerin, apple cider vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice. An excellent option for washing is milk slightly diluted with water or decoctions of medicinal herbs (for example, chamomile or plantain). If the owner of dry skin does not have anything at hand that can make the water softer, it is advisable to lubricate the skin with sour cream or nourishing cream before washing.
Face masks are just a lifesaver for dry skin. They not only relieve irritation, but also soften, moisturize the skin. Masks are especially effective after preliminary cleansing of the skin, warm compress or massage.
Dry skin is traditionally treated with dairy products. You can add a little oatmeal or honey to the milk. In addition to sour cream, milk and kefir masks, dry skin tolerates herbal washing and rubbing well: with the help of infusion of chamomile, mint, calendula, linden blossom, young birch leaves, cucumber juice.
Recipe for a moisturizing mask: 1 teaspoon of squeezed juice from any fruit (bananas, apples, pears, melons), a little sour cream and half a spoonful of vegetable oil are added to a carefully mashed egg yolk. For greater mass density, you can mix it with barley flour. The mixture should be applied to the face and kept for at least 10-15 minutes. Then rinse with warm water.
Systematic care for dry skin of the face allows you to achieve its softening and avoid premature wrinkles. If you combine cosmetic procedures with proper nutrition - eating carrots, liver, fish, foods rich in vitamin "A" - then your skin will be famous only for its advantages: whiteness, even tone and visual appeal.
