Recipe 1

To prepare candles you need:

• propolis - 40 g;
• medical alcohol 70% - 200 ml;
• lanolin (sold at the pharmacy) or melted animal fat - 200 ml.

First of all, you should prepare an alcoholic tincture of propolis. To do this, propolis is crushed and poured with alcohol. Insist in a dark place for 10-15 days, occasionally shaking the bottle. Strain before use.

The tincture is poured into a saucepan with a thick bottom and cooked over low heat until the alcohol evaporates. The resulting dark liquid is added to lanolin or fat previously melted in a water bath, mixed thoroughly.

Molds are formed from foil for future candles. The resulting mass is poured into them and placed in the refrigerator until it solidifies. Then each candle is wrapped in wax paper, folded into a clean bag and stored on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator.

Recipe 2

Put 150 g of lanolin or any animal fat (goat, lamb), 50 g of beeswax and 50 g of propolis in a cup. Heat the resulting mixture in a water bath, stirring occasionally, until all ingredients are completely dissolved. Pour into prepared molds. Store wrapped in wax paper in a tightly closed container in the refrigerator.

Recipe 3

In a water bath, dissolve 80 g of medical petroleum jelly and beeswax, 50 g of cocoa butter or lanolin. To the resulting mixture add 20 ml of an aqueous (not alcoholic!) Propolis extract. Mix thoroughly and pour into molds. Candles are stored in the refrigerator in a carefully sealed container.
