Kremlin diet
"Kremlin diet" is one of the most popular in Russia. There are different versions of its origin. According to one version, it was developed specifically for Russian dignitaries - and hence its name. According to another version, the author of this diet is journalist Yevgeny Chernykh, who published a report on it in the newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda. He himself claims that he only experienced the effect of the diet on himself and is not its creator. Be that as it may, over a long period of existence, the diet has confirmed its effectiveness.
"Kremlin diet" - protein nutritional system. This means that protein becomes the main source of energy with it, and the amount of carbohydrates in the diet is limited.
Usually, carbohydrates provide energy for the body. With their deficiency, the body gets energy from fat, spending its reserves. The effect is enhanced by the high energy costs required for protein assimilation.
For the "Kremlin diet" requires accurate calculations, so you need a kitchen scale for weighing portions and a table of carbohydrates in food (in 100 g of product). The carbohydrate unit (c.u.) is taken as the unit of their measurement in this diet. 1 cu e. = 1 g of carbohydrates.
The "Kremlin diet" is designed in three stages:
- the initial stage (1-2 weeks) - the daily diet is 20 cu. e.;
- the main stage (up to 6 weeks) - a daily diet within 40 cu. e.;
- consolidation of the result (1 week or more) - daily ration up to 60 cu. e. If at the same time it is possible to maintain the desired weight and there are no problems with well-being, you can stick to this menu for as long as you like. It is advisable to arrange fasting days 1-2 times a week.
The rules of the "Kremlin diet":
- 3 meals a day with 1 or 2 snacks. At each meal, y. Are counted. e.;
- daily you need to drink 1.5-2 liters of water;
- for cooking, only dietary methods of heat treatment are used - boiling, steaming, grilling, baking in the oven;
- to achieve a greater effect, regular physical activity is recommended. This will speed up your metabolism and make it easier to tolerate restrictions, and will also help maintain muscle tone.
Advantages of the "Kremlin diet"
A week on the "Kremlin diet" makes it possible to get rid of 3-5 kg of excess weight.

The wide range of permitted foods avoids boring, monotonous menus. On the positive side, it is allowed to eat in the evening, which is not typical for diets. All of these factors reduce the likelihood of breakdown.
Disadvantages and contraindications of the "Kremlin diet"
Lack of carbohydrates negatively affects your well-being. Often it becomes the cause of drowsiness, fatigue, low mood and irritability, headache.
Due to the lack of a rigid menu and the choice of dishes in accordance with their own preferences, the diet may turn out to be unbalanced. A common mistake is a small amount of vegetables and fruits in the daily menu, which leads to digestive problems, in particular, constipation.
The "Kremlin diet" is contraindicated for people who are unstable under stress, suffering from nervous disorders, diseases of the kidneys, cardiovascular system, and the digestive tract.
People with any chronic illness should consult a doctor before starting a diet.
What foods are allowed?
- meat: beef, lamb, lean pork, chicken;
- meat products: sausage, ham, sausages;
- a fish;
- eggs;
- dairy products: hard cheese, low-fat milk and dairy products (especially cottage cheese and curd spreads);
- vegetables (excluding starchy ones);
- unsweetened fruits and berries;
- nuts, pumpkin and sunflower seeds;
- vegetable oil;
- drinks: water, black and green tea, coffee.
Salt is allowed but should be kept to a minimum.
What foods are prohibited?
- sugar and any sweet food;
- pastries, pasta;
- wheat, oats, corn, barley;
- legumes;
- vegetables high in starch (potatoes, parsnips, pumpkin);
- sweet fruits (bananas, grapes, figs, dates);
- processed cheese;
- semi-finished products, products containing dyes, flavors and preservatives, fast food;
- margarine;
- carbonated water, fruit juices;
- beer, alcoholic drinks.
