The basis of the diet is low-calorie food in liquid form (and water). Such food satisfies hunger better and is digested faster, and water is necessary for effective weight loss.

Principles of the "Liquid Diet":

  • consume 200-250 ml of liquid every hour;
  • dilute vegetable and fruit juices with water in a 3: 1 ratio;
  • exclude salt from the diet;
  • consume no more than 3.5 liters of liquid per day.

The duration of the "Liquid Diet" is one to two weeks. It is not recommended to conduct a diet without preparatory and final stages, for each of which there is a separate menu, otherwise there is a high risk of stomach and intestinal problems.

Advantages of the "Liquid Diet"

The “liquid diet” is very effective: you can lose more than 3 kg in a week. It results in a decrease in the size of the stomach, since the portions are small and the meals are frequent. This leads to fast satiation with small portions of food.

The diet is tolerated quite easily, there is practically no feeling of severe hunger.

A pleasant bonus of the "Liquid Diet" is an improvement in the condition of the skin, hair and nails. This is due to the consumption of a large amount of freshly squeezed vegetable and fruit juices, dairy products and meat broth.

Disadvantages and contraindications of the "Liquid diet"

The main disadvantage of the Liquid Diet is an unbalanced diet. In addition, the stomach and intestines get used to liquid food, after a diet it is difficult to switch to regular food.

What foods are allowed?

Vegetable soups, chicken and meat (from beef, lamb) broths without added salt, fruit and vegetable juices, drinking dairy and sour milk products, compotes, tea and coffee without sugar, herbal decoctions are allowed.

Chicken broth is an important part of the daily Liquid Diet menu. To prepare it, you will need the following ingredients:

  • lean chicken meat - 300-400 g;
  • medium-sized carrots - 1 pc.;
  • greens (parsley, dill, green onions).

Preparation of broth: wash the chicken, pour 2 liters of water, bring to a boil, remove the foam and cook for an hour; 10 minutes before the end of cooking, add carrots cut into pieces, and before removing the broth from the heat, finely chopped greens. The finished broth is filtered.

It is also recommended to drink hot water throughout the day.

What foods are prohibited?

Prohibited foods include all those that are not on the list of permitted, including salt and sugar.

First day

First breakfast (8:00) - semolina porridge cooked in milk.

Second breakfast (10:15) - kefir (200 ml).

Lunch (13:00) - vegetable soup, boiled beef (200 g), a slice of bread.

Dinner (19:00) - stewed vegetables.

Before going to bed - kefir (200 ml).

Second day

First breakfast (8:00) - steamed vegetables.

Second breakfast (10:15) - milk (200 ml).
