Bio-reinforcement
Bio-reinforcement is a method of non-surgical skin lifting carried out by injecting a special gel containing hyaluronic acid. As a rule, facial bioreinforcement is done to smooth out all kinds of age-related changes and signs of gravitational aging.
According to reviews, bio-reinforcement helps to eliminate superficial wrinkles and make deep ones less visible, remove sagging skin, prevent the appearance of new wrinkles, and correct the contour and shape of the face.
Bio-reinforcement procedure
The procedure involves the introduction of a scaffold substance under the skin, a kind of biostimulant that triggers the processes of skin restoration and renewal.
Before the procedure, the cosmetologist determines which areas of the face need to be injected and treats the skin with an anesthetic. This allows you to achieve absolute painlessness of the procedure.
Before special biogels were used in cosmetology, “golden threads” were used. Actually, bio-reinforcement with "golden threads" and biogel have the same meaning - stimulation of cells to synthesize collagen and elastin and elimination of skin defects. However, the main advantage of biogel is that it is based on hyaluronic acid, which is a completely natural component and guarantees a lasting result and the absence of side reactions of the body.
The bio-reinforcement procedure does not take much time - about one hour. For the effect to be long-lasting, it is necessary to do at least three procedures with an interval of 2-4 weeks. However, as a rule, doctors prescribe a course of treatment for each patient individually, depending on the age and skin condition. The main goal is to eliminate cosmetic defects.
What drugs are used for facial bioreinforcement?
The advantage is undoubtedly given to preparations based on hyaluronic acid, but they are not the only ones. The drugs used for the bio-reinforcement procedure can be divided into three groups:
- Synthetic polymers. These drugs are banned for use in many countries. This is due to the fact that they have a very short duration of action, and they also have a lot of side effects and addictive skin;
- Bio-reinforcement with hyaluronic acid. The most optimal option due to the almost complete absence of side effects and the durability of the result;
- Polyoxypropionic or polylactic acid. This is a relatively new technique, since the use of these drugs by domestic cosmetologists began just a couple of years ago. According to reviews, bio-reinforcement with polylactic acid has a more pronounced effect. However, there is also a significant drawback - a short period of drug use. It is not yet known how long the effect lasts.
Indications for the bio-reinforcement procedure
Mostly facial bioreinforcement is designed for middle-aged people, and the indication for the procedure is clear signs of skin aging: drooping of the corners of the mouth, corners of the eyes and eyebrows, sagging skin folds, changes in the contour of the chin and lower jaw, pronounced nasolabial folds. It happens that, at the request of the client, bio-reinforcement is used to enlarge certain parts of the face (chin, cheeks).
The procedure is a great alternative to traditional plastic surgery. Bio-reinforcement with hyaluronic acid performs not only a plastic function, but also a preventive one, as it allows to delay the appearance of pronounced signs of gravitational aging for several years.
The effect of bio-reinforcement, according to patients' reviews, increases over several months, reaching a maximum by the fourth month.
Benefits of the bio-reinforcement procedure
- The effect is noticeable immediately after the procedure and builds up over several months;
- The result lasts for 1-2 years.
In modern cosmetology, facial bioreinforcement is used along with contour plastics, biorevitalization, and mesotherapy.
Recommendations after injections
After the bio-reinforcement procedure, it is not recommended to visit the swimming pool, bathhouse or sauna for two weeks. Also, you can not sunbathe and do facial massage for one week.
After the procedure, small swelling and bruising may appear, which are invisible to the eyes, but palpable on palpation. However, this passes quickly.
Contraindications to bio-reinforcement
The procedure has no absolute contraindications. It is not recommended to carry it out during pregnancy and breastfeeding, with infectious skin diseases, hypersensitivity to the components of the injected drug, acute inflammatory processes. Also, an obstacle to the procedure may be the patient's intake of anticoagulants.
