Release form and composition
Ecofemin floravag is available in the form of capsules weighing 330 mg (10 pcs per pack, in a cardboard box 1 or 2 packs).
1 capsule contains:
- active substances: strains of lactobacilli - LMG 8151 (Lactobacillus acidophilus), LMG 9479 (Lactobacillus crispatus), LMG 27275 (Lactobacillus brevis);
- auxiliary components: ascorbic acid, maltodextrin, titanium dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose, yellow iron oxide, magnesium stearate.
Component properties
The microflora of the vagina performs a protective function of the reproductive system, preventing the development and ingress of pathogenic microorganisms from the outside that contribute to the development of inflammatory processes.
The effect of the drug is due to the properties of the active ingredients:
- Lactobacillus crispatus, connecting with epithelial cells, prevents the penetration of pathogens into the epithelial layer of the mucous membrane, produces hydrogen peroxide, restores the microflora of the intimate zone in case of recurrent genitourinary infection caused by Escherichia coli;
- Lactobacillus acidophilus, producing lactic acid, ensures the normal course of basic metabolic processes in the vagina;
- Lactobacillus brevis binds to epithelial cells and produces high levels of enzymes necessary for the normal course of biochemical processes. Reduces acidity levels, normalizing the vaginal microflora.
The cause of imbalance in the intimate microflora can be malnutrition, treatment with antibacterial or hormonal drugs, the use of oral contraceptives, barrier contraceptives, tampons.
