Hilosar-Komod is a keratoprotective moisturizing solution used in ophthalmology to eliminate the symptoms of irritation and dry eyes.
Release form and composition
Hilozar-Komod is produced in the form of a moisturizing ophthalmic solution: sterile aqueous liquid (10 ml each in original plastic containers of the "KOMOD" system, 1 container in a cardboard box).
1 ml of solution contains:
- active ingredients: dexpanthenol (provitamin B 5) - 20 mg, sodium hyaluronate (in the form of sodium salt of hyaluronic acid) - 1 mg;
- auxiliary ingredients: sodium citrate dihydrate, anhydrous citric acid (E 330), water.
Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Hilosar-Komod is an ophthalmic moisturizing solution, which is a combination of dexpanthenol and a sterile aqueous solution that does not contain preservatives, in the original container of the “KOMOD” system.
Due to the following pharmacological properties, the active substances included in the solution provide protection of the cornea and conjunctiva of the eye from external irritants and their hydration:
- sodium salt of hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate): a natural substance, a physiological polysaccharide compound contained both in the tissues of the eye and in other tissues and fluids of the human body. The substance has a special physicochemical property - high water-retention ability (1 molecule of hyaluronic acid binds up to 200-500 water molecules). Sodium hyaluronate in aqueous dilution exhibits viscosity and enhanced adhesiveness to the anterior surface of the eye, necessary for the formation of a uniform pre-corneal tear film that persists for a long time, does not wash off when blinking and does not cause a decrease in visual acuity, so that the solution can be used throughout the day;
- dexpanthenol (provitamin B 5): exhibits a high hydration capacity, effectively supporting the moisturizing effect of sodium hyaluronate and providing an optimal level of eye hydration; the substance promotes tissue regeneration in case of microdamage to the cornea due to its injury, as well as in the postoperative period helps to accelerate the healing of the eyes.
Hilosar-Chest of drawers quickly relieves eye irritation and fatigue, maintains their normal function, makes it easier to wear hard / soft contact lenses, making it more comfortable, without being deposited on their surface.
After surgical interventions and injuries, the agent, with regular use, provides sufficient moisture to the surface of the eye, which is necessary for the normal physiological course of the healing processes of injuries and wounds of the eye, accelerating them.
The ophthalmic solution is contained in an original container of the "KOMOD" type, which is a complex system of reservoirs and valves, which ensures that there is no air ingress from the outside and allows you to extract drops of the same size regardless of the degree of pressure on the container.
Due to the partial coating of the metal parts and valves of the container in contact with the Hilosar-Komod solution with a thin layer of silver in combination with the complete hermeticity of the system, absolute sterility of the solution is ensured, despite the absence of preservatives in its composition.
The use of a special container eliminates the need for preservatives, which eliminates their potential undesirable effect on the eye tissue and ensures good tolerance of the product even with prolonged use.
Indications for use
According to the instructions, Hilozar-Komod is recommended for the following purposes:
- additional hydration, lubrication and protection of the anterior surface of the eye (cornea, conjunctiva); elimination of discomfort in the eyes, which occurs, including under the influence of climatic factors, wearing soft / hard contact lenses, intense visual stress (dryness, burning, sensation of a foreign body in the eye);
- moisturizing, lubricating and accelerating the regeneration of the anterior surface of the eye in case of damage (trauma) to the cornea and after ophthalmic surgery.
Contraindications
Hilosar-Komod is contraindicated for use in case of increased individual sensitivity to any of the components of the solution.
Instructions for use of Hilozar-Komod: method and dosage
Hilosar-Komod solution is used by instillation into the conjunctival sac of each eye.
Recommended dosage: 1 drop 3 times a day, if necessary, the procedure can be performed more often.
The frequency and duration of the use of the product are set individually, depend on the patient's sensations and should be agreed with an ophthalmologist or contact lens specialist. Instillation of the Hilozar-Komod solution more than 10 times a day requires a mandatory agreement with a specialist. There are no restrictions on the duration of use of the tool.
If the use of the solution for several days in a row causes discomfort, you should consult a doctor.
The container of the "KOMOD" system contains 10 ml of the drug Hilosar-Komod, which corresponds to ~ 300 drops of solution.
The CHEST system cannot be reused. After the contents of the container have been completely consumed, and if further use of the product is necessary, a new filled container should be purchased.
Recommendations for using the solution when wearing contact lenses:
- The cap must be removed before each procedure.
- To prepare a new container for use before the first instillation, turn it over with a dropper downward and press the base several times until the first drop of solution appears at the tip of the dropper, which indicates that the "KOMOD" system is ready for work.
- During instillation, the container should be held down with a dropper, pressing on its base must be quick and vigorous. With such actions, the dropper mechanism is activated and only 1 drop of the agent is removed from the container. The special design of the valves ensures the same droplet size and rate, even with excessive pressure on the base of the container.
- For the procedure, you should tilt your head back a little and slightly pull the lower eyelid with your finger. 1 drop of solution is dripped into the conjunctival sac, after which the eyes are slowly closed, evenly distributing the liquid over the conjunctiva and the surface of the cornea. During instillation, contact of the dropper tip with the skin and eye surface should be avoided.
- At the end of the procedure, the cap should be placed on the dropper hermetically.

Drug interactions
