PROBifid is a dietary supplement (biologically active additive) to food, containing inulin, a source of probiotic milk microorganisms and bifidobacteria, vitamin B 6, zinc, flavones (apigenin).
Release form and composition
Dosage form - enteric capsules of plant origin, 450 mg each (in a cardboard box 1 or 2 blisters of 10 capsules each and instructions for use of PROBifid).
The composition of PROBifid (1 capsule):
- active substances: lactic acid lyophilized probiotic bacteria (Lactobacillus acidophilus LA3, Lactobacillus casei BGP93) - not less than 1 x 10 9 CFU, bifidobacteria (Bifidobacterium animalis ssp.lactis BLC1) - not less than 1 x 10 9 CFU in the form of hydrochloride 6 pyridoxine) - 1 mg, zinc (in the form of zinc gluconate) - 5 mg, apigenin [dry extract of chamomile flowers (Matricaria recutita L.)] - 5 mg, as well as dry extract of peppermint leaves (Mentha piperita L.) and inulin;
- additional components: corn starch (as part of lyophilized microorganisms), magnesium stearate (E470), gellan gum (E418), hypromellose (E464), titanium dioxide (E171).
Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
The use of dietary supplements helps to improve digestion and metabolism.
Inulin is a natural prebiotic with the following effects:
- promotes the development and action of beneficial bacteria, being their nutrition, selectively stimulates the growth and metabolic activity of bifidobacteria;
- affects lipid metabolism, helps to lower cholesterol levels, which is manifested by a decrease in the risk of changes in the cardiovascular system;
- promotes better absorption of magnesium and calcium (by increasing their absorption in the colon), which is manifested in a decrease in the risk of osteoporosis.
The main properties of other active ingredients:
- live bifidobacteria and lactobacilli: prevent the reproduction of pathogenic intestinal microflora, help normalize digestion, improve metabolism, strengthen immunity, and enzymatic digestion of food;
- vitamin B 6: normalizes the metabolism of glycogen and proteins;
- zinc: normalizes acid-base balance, metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fatty acids, and also protects cells from oxidative stress;
- apigenin from chamomile extract: has an antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory effect, stimulates the secretion of digestive enzymes;
- peppermint leaves (dry extract): enhance antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory effects.

PROBifid is used as a source of probiotic milk microorganisms and bifidobacteria, vitamin B 6, zinc, apigenin, inulin to improve digestion and metabolism.
Contraindications
Taking dietary supplements is contraindicated in the presence of hypersensitivity to the components included in PROBifid.
PROBifid, instructions for use: method and dosage
The dietary supplement is taken orally during meals, washed down with water (½ glass).
Recommended dosage regimen:
- children 7-14 years old: 1 capsule in the morning;
- children from 14 years old and adults: 1 capsule in the morning and in the evening.
