Herva woolly grass is a biennial herb, belongs to the Amaranth family. It grows in Papua New Guinea, Australia, India, Saudi Arabia and many African countries. Grown in Georgia.
Chemical composition
Erva woolly herb contains:
- indole alkaloids (ervine, ervoside, methylervine, ervolanine);
- phenolic acids;
- feruloylamides (feruloyltyramine, feruloylhomovanilylamine);
- flavonoids (acylglycosides tilyroside, coumaroyl-tilyroside, narcissin, ervitrin);
- triterpenoids;
- derivatives of lupeol and oleanic acid;
- pectin substances, etc.
Beneficial features
Herva woolly herb is a potassium-sparing diuretic (due to the content of potassium nitrate in the composition), has a diuretic and hypoazotemic effect. In addition, it normalizes blood pressure, reduces the intensity of inflammatory processes, prevents blood clots, normalizes the digestive system, regulates metabolism, lowers blood glucose, has a calming effect on the nervous system, removes heavy metal salts and toxins from the body, and neutralizes free radicals.

- infusion: 1 tsp. Herva woolly herbs pour 250 ml of boiled water and heat in an enamel bowl in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Next, the infusion should be filtered and supplemented with boiled water to the original volume. It is recommended to take 100 ml 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals;
- tea: 2 tsp Pour 250 ml of boiling water over chopped herbs, leave for 15 minutes (honey or mint can be added to taste);
- broth: 2 tsp. pour 250 ml of raw materials, boil for 5 minutes, leave for 3 hours, strain. Drink this broth should be 100 ml 20 minutes before meals.
The herb left over after the preparation of the decoction can be used in the form of lotions to treat acne and boils.
Recommendations for use: take in a warm form, 50-100 ml 2-3 times a day for a course of 10 to 30 days (depending on the dynamics of the disease). A repeated course, if necessary, can be appointed no earlier than 2 months after the completion of the previous one.
