Release form and composition

The drug is produced in the form of a solution for intra-articular administration: a viscoelastic, transparent 2% aqueous solution (2 ml in a sterile-packed disposable syringe, ready for use; in a package of 1 or 3 syringes and instructions for use of Sinokrom forte).

1 ml of the preparation contains:

• active substance: stabilized sodium hyaluronate with a molecular weight of approximately 2.1 million daltons (Da) - 20 mg;
• additional components: sodium phosphate monohydrate, sodium carbonate, sodium chloride, sodium phosphate dihydrate, water for injection.

Sterilization of the solution is carried out in a ready-to-use syringe with high pressure steam.

Sinokrom forte is a sterile, stabilized, isotonic, pyrogen-free solution that provides the restoration of the viscoelastic properties of the synovial fluid.

All synovial joints contain viscoelastic sodium hyaluronate. This substance is an active ingredient of Sinokrom forte. Thanks to the lubricating and shock-absorbing properties of the active substance, the drug reduces pain, increases the mobility of the joint, contributing to its normal, painless movement.

Against the background of degenerative diseases of the joints (osteoarthritis) or with post-traumatic changes in the latter, there is a significant decrease in the viscoelasticity of the synovial fluid, which leads to an increase in the mechanical load on the joints and activation of the processes of regeneration of the articular cartilage (manifested by limited joint mobility and pain symptoms during exercise). Intra-articular administration of highly purified stabilized sodium hyaluronate exhibiting optimized viscoelastic properties improves joint lubrication.

Indications for use

Sinokrom forte is recommended for use in pain and limitation of mobility due to degenerative or traumatic changes in joints containing synovial fluid.

Contraindications

The use of the drug is contraindicated in the presence of hypersensitivity to any of its components.

Since the solution is administered intraarticularly, patients with bacterial arthritis should refrain from using the drug in order to avoid possible complications. The attending physician should be informed about all immunological and other possible consequences of the use of biological agents.

Sinokrom forte, instructions for use: method and dosage

The drug is intended exclusively for intra-articular administration.

Before the procedure, it is required to remove the ready-to-use syringe from the sterile packaging, remove the rubber cap from it and put the appropriate-sized needle on the syringe cannula until it is tightly connected. Please note that the needle is not included in the delivery. The injection site must be treated with a disinfectant that contains alcohol. Intra-articular injection of the drug should be carried out under aseptic conditions by a specialist doctor. During the injection of the solution, the syringe should be held in such a position that the stop hole is at the back.

The course of therapy for Sinokrom Forte consists of 3 injections, made with an interval of 7 days between injections. Depending on the severity of the lesion, the effect of treatment can be observed up to 12 months. Simultaneous therapy of several joints is allowed, repeated courses are possible.

Side effects

When using the drug, local symptoms such as redness, fever, pain, and swelling may occur. To prevent the development of these side effects, it is recommended to apply an ice pack to the affected joint for 5-10 minutes. If these manifestations are pronounced and accompanied by severe pain, the solution must be removed from the affected joint.

Against the background of the use of the drug, isolated cases of the appearance of allergic (rash, itching, urticaria) and anaphylactic reactions were recorded.
