Instructions for the use of belladonna extract
Suppositories with belladonna extract are used only rectally. It is recommended to inject the candle into the rectum as deeply as possible after emptying the intestines in a natural way or a cleansing enema - to achieve maximum effect.
The drug is used 5-7 days, one candle several times / day. The permissible daily dose is 10 suppositories (150mg). If necessary, the patient can undergo a second course.
Doses of belladonna extract during pregnancy are of a purely individual nature, often it is prescribed together with No-shpa.
Side effects
When using the drug in large doses, as with individual intolerance to the drug, you may experience a feeling of thirst, dry mouth, palpitations, pain and discomfort in the abdomen, headache, drowsiness, dizziness, loss of taste, constipation, nervousness, pupils may dilate, appear allergic reactions (itching, Quincke's edema, urticaria), convulsions, urinary retention, photophobia, stool, vision, sleep, speech, appetite, concentration may be disturbed, intraocular pressure may increase.
If the use of the drug has led to side effects in a pregnant woman, it can be replaced with candles with papaverine (only after consulting a gynecologist).
Contraindications to the use of belladonna extract
Krasavki extract according to the instructions cannot be used for prostate adenoma, glaucoma.
During treatment, it should be borne in mind that the remedy has an effect on motor and mental reactions. You should also know that morphine and caffeine reduce the effect of belladonna extract, and the simultaneous use of the drug with digitalis can provoke arrhythmia.
The drug is contraindicated during lactation.
