Complivit-active is a complex multivitamin preparation in combination with microelements intended for children 7-12 years old.
Release form and composition
The dosage form of the Complivit-active for children is film-coated tablets: oblong, biconvex, from green to light green; the core at the fracture has a yellow-gray color interspersed with various shades (30, 60 or 100 pcs. in polypropylene cans, 1 can in a cardboard box).
Active ingredients in 1 coated tablet:
- α-tocopherol acetate (vitamin E) - 10 mg;

Complivit-active is one of the combined multivitamin preparations with macro- and microelements.
The pharmacological action of the complex is due to the properties of vitamins and minerals that make up its composition:
- ergocalciferol: prevents the development of rickets, is necessary to maintain the metabolic processes of phosphorus and calcium, improves their absorption in the small intestine;
- retinol acetate: ensures the normal function of mucous membranes, skin, and vision;
- pyridoxine hydrochloride: participates in the synthesis of neurotransmitters and protein metabolism (as a coenzyme);
- α-tocopherol acetate: has an antioxidant effect, prevents hemolysis, maintains the stability of erythrocytes, has a positive effect on the function of muscle and nervous tissue, gonads;
- folic acid: necessary for normal erythropoiesis, participates in the synthesis of nucleic acids, nucleotides, amino acids;
- thiamine hydrochloride: takes part in carbohydrate metabolism, the functioning of the nervous system (as a coenzyme);
- riboflavin: is one of the most important catalysts for the processes of visual perception and cellular respiration;
- cyanocobalamin: belongs to the number of important factors for normal growth, development of epithelial cells and hematopoiesis; participates in the synthesis of nucleotides, is necessary for the synthesis of myelin and the metabolism of folic acid;
- nicotinamide: takes part in the processes of tissue respiration, carbohydrate and fat metabolism;

- copper: strengthens the vascular walls, prevents the development of anemia and oxygen starvation of tissues and organs, helps prevent osteoporosis;
- cobalt: increases the body's defenses, regulates metabolic processes;
- iron: necessary for erythropoiesis, provides oxygen transport to the tissue (as part of hemoglobin);
- calcium: required for blood clotting, bone formation, the implementation of the process of transmission of nerve impulses, normal myocardial activity, contraction of smooth and skeletal muscles;
- fluoride: is one of the essential elements for the normal development and growth of the body, reduces the incidence of dental caries;
- selenium: has an antioxidant effect, protecting tissues and cells of the body from the effects of adverse environmental factors, takes part in the regulation of tissue elasticity;
- magnesium: essential for protein biosynthesis and energy metabolism, reduces the excitability of the nervous system, prevents the formation of kidney stones;

Pharmacokinetics
Since the effect of Complivit-active is the combined effect of its constituent components, it is not possible to conduct studies of the kinetic parameters of the drug.
Indications for use
According to the instructions, Complivit-Active is prescribed to children 7-12 years old in the following cases:
- hypovitaminosis, vitamin deficiency, lack of trace elements and minerals in the body during growth and development (treatment and prevention);
- insufficient / unbalanced nutrition;
- the need to increase the body's resistance with high mental / physical stress, regular sports;
- living in regions with unfavorable environmental conditions.
Contraindications
- age under 7;
- hypervitaminosis A;
- increased content of iron and calcium in the body;
- individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
In case of pernicious B 12 -deficiency anemia, the use of a multivitamin complex is not recommended.
Instructions for use Complivit-active: method and dosage
The tablets are taken orally with a sufficient amount of liquid, preferably after meals, 1 tablet once a day.
If there are no other appointments, the duration of admission is 1 month.
Side effects
It is possible to develop hypersensitivity reactions to the components that make up Complivit-active. In this case, the drug is canceled.
Overdose
Overdose symptoms with multiple excess of the therapeutic dose may be: vomiting, diarrhea, muscle weakness caused by hypervitaminosis of vitamins A and D. In case of an accidental overdose, a doctor's consultation is required.
Therapy of the condition provides for a temporary withdrawal of the drug, gastric lavage, intake of activated charcoal, symptomatic treatment.

Combined use with other multivitamin complexes is not recommended.
During the period of taking the drug, urine can turn bright yellow, which is explained by the presence of riboflavin in the drug and has no clinical significance.
Pediatric use
Age under 7 years is a contraindication to the use of the drug.
Drug interactions
- short-acting sulfa drugs: an increase in the likelihood of crystalluria (due to vitamin C);
- antibacterial drugs (a group of fluoroquinolone and tetracycline derivatives): decreased absorption from the gastrointestinal tract (due to iron and calcium);
- thiazide diuretics: increasing the likelihood of hypercalcemia;
- cholestyramine, antacids containing aluminum, magnesium, calcium: decrease in iron absorption.
