Release form and composition

Dosage form - capsules: opaque, with white body and lid; the contents of the capsules are odorless white powder (8 pcs. in blisters made of soft or hard aluminum foil, 2, 4 or 6 blisters in a cardboard box).

1 capsule contains:

• Active substance: Lebenin - 280 mg (100 mg of Lebenin powder contains: Bifidobacterium infantis - 30 mg, Lactobacillus acidophilus (species L. gasseri) - 30 mg, Enterococcus faecium - 30 mg, potato starch - 5 mg, lactose - 5 mg);
• Auxiliary component: magnesium stearate - 8.4 mg.

The composition of the capsule shell: propyl hydroxybenzoate - 0.08 mg, methyl hydroxybenzoate - 0.19 mg, titanium dioxide (E171) - 0.98 mg, gelatin - up to 63 mg.

Linex contributes to the normalization of the intestinal microflora, which is due to the properties of its active components.

Live lactic acid bacteria are a normal component of the natural intestinal microflora; they are already present in the digestive tract of newborns. One capsule contains at least 1.2 x 10 ⁷ live lyophilized lactic acid bacteria: Bifidobacterium infantis, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Enterococcus faecium.

These bacteria play an important role in the biochemical processes of the body. Due to the fermentation of lactose, the pH is shifted towards the acidic side. In an acidic environment, the growth of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microflora is inhibited, and optimal conditions are provided for the action of digestive enzymes.

Other Linex effects:

• participation in the synthesis of ascorbic acid, vitamins of group B, K (which increases the body's resistance to unfavorable environmental factors), as well as substances with antibacterial activity;
• participation in the process of metabolism of bile acids and bile pigments;
• an increase in the body's immune reactivity.

Indications for use

According to the instructions, Linex is prescribed for the treatment and prevention of dysbiosis, manifested by flatulence, dyspepsia, diarrhea, constipation, belching, vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain, and in some cases, allergic reactions.

Contraindications

Linex is contraindicated for use in the presence of hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, as well as to dairy products.

Instructions for use of Linex: method and dosage

Linex capsules are taken orally with a small amount of water, preferably after a meal.

For children under 3 years of age and patients who cannot swallow the capsule, open it and mix the powder it contains with a little water.

A single dose is determined by age:

• Newborns and children under 2 years of age: 1 capsule;
• Children 2-12 years old: 1-2 capsules;
• Children over 12 years old and adults: 2 capsules.
