Ditek is a combined drug with a pronounced bronchodilator effect.
Release form and composition
The dosage form is a metered dose aerosol for inhalation (in aerosol cans with a mouthpiece of 10 ml, which corresponds to 200 doses, in a cardboard box 1 can).
Active substances in 1 dose of aerosol:
- fenoterol hydrobromide - 0.05 mg;
- cromoglycic acid - 1 mg (in the form of disodium salt).
Pharmacological properties
The effect of the drug is determined by its constituent components:
- fenoterol: is a beta2-adrenergic agonist. It causes a pronounced bronchodilator effect, which is associated with the stimulation of beta2-adrenergic receptors of the bronchi. Increases the function of the ciliated epithelium of the bronchi, effectively prevents and eliminates bronchospasm, has a certain effect on mast cells;
- disodium cromoglycate: inhibits the release of allergy mediators. Effectively prevents immediate bronchial immune response and delayed bronchial reactions.
Thanks to the combined use of these components, their effectiveness increases when used in small doses.
Indications for use
- respiratory failure in chronic diseases of the respiratory tract;
- bronchial asthma;
- chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with / without emphysema.
Contraindications
Absolute:
- thyrotoxicosis;
- tachyarrhythmias;
- subvalvular aortic stenosis;
- lactation period;
- individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
Relative (diseases / conditions in which Ditek should be used with caution):
- diabetes;
- recent myocardial infarction;
- organic lesions of the cardiovascular system in severe course;
- I trimester of pregnancy and the period before childbirth.
Instructions for the use of Dietek: method and dosage
The aerosol is used by inhalation.
Recommended single dose:
- adults and children from 6 years old: 2 doses;
- children 4–6 years old: 1 dose.
Frequency rate of application - 4 times a day.
In case of bronchospasm, the aerosol is prescribed in 1-2 doses, if there is no effect after 5 minutes, 2 more doses can be administered. Subsequent inhalations can be carried out no earlier than 2 hours later.
In order to prevent an attack of bronchial asthma, 2 doses of the drug should be used 30 minutes before physical activity or anticipated contact with an allergen.
Side effects
Possible disorders: tremor of the fingers, anxiety, tachycardia (heart palpitations); sometimes - dizziness, headache, fatigue, sweating (requires dose reduction).

According to the instructions, Ditek is effective in patients with bronchial asthma. It has a preventive effect in cases of use before the development of an attack. Long-term continuous use reduces and relieves attacks of bronchial asthma, reduces the need for bronchodilators and corticosteroids.
Ditek is not intended for relief of acute attacks.
The most effective drug in patients of relatively young age, in whom chronic changes in the lungs have not yet developed.
The action of the drug is more pronounced in atonic forms of bronchial asthma. The drug is also effective in the infectious-allergic form of the disease, pneumosclerosis with attacks of suffocation, asthmatic bronchitis, especially in the presence of an allergic component.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
In women during pregnancy, the development of undesirable actions was not observed. However, it is necessary to take into account the effect of the drug on the uterus, which is expressed in the inhibition of labor. The use of Dietek in the first trimester of pregnancy and before childbirth is possible only on strict indications.
