Diovenor 600 is a venotonic and angioprotective agent.
Release form and composition
Dosage form - coated tablets (15 pieces in a blister strip, 2 packages in a cardboard box).
1 tablet contains:
- active substance: diosmin - 600 mg;
- excipients: talc, silicon dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, titanium dioxide, red iron oxide, propylene glycol, polyoxyethylene glycol stearate, polyoxyethylene glycol 6000, red cochineal aluminum lacquer, black iron oxide.
Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
The effect of the drug is expressed in an increase in vascular resistance, an increase in capillary resistance and venous tone, a decrease in venous stasis and capillary permeability, as well as an improvement in microcirculation and lymphatic drainage. In addition, an increase in the vasoconstrictor action of adrenaline, norepinephrine and serotonin was noted. The vasoconstrictor effect depends on the dose of the drug.
Pharmacokinetics
Absorption from the gastrointestinal tract is fast. Determined in plasma, starting from the second hour after administration, C max in plasma is reached after 5 hours. It accumulates and is distributed in the walls of the saphenous veins of the lower extremities and vena cava, to an insignificant extent in the liver, kidneys, lungs and other tissues. Selective accumulation of diosmin and / or its metabolites in venous vessels reaches a maximum after 9 hours after administration and persists for the next 96 hours. It is excreted in the urine - 79%, with feces - 11%, with bile - 2.4%.
Indications for use
- chronic venous insufficiency of the lower extremities, accompanied by a feeling of heaviness in the legs, trophic disorders, pain;
- increased capillary permeability;
- hemorrhoids (symptomatic treatment during an exacerbation).
Contraindications
The drug is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to its components.
Instructions for use of Diovenor 600: method and dosage
The tablets are taken orally (by mouth):
- venous insufficiency: 1 tablet (600 mg) per day, in the morning, before meals;
- hemorrhoids: 2-3 tablets (1200-1800 mg) per day with meals.
Side effects
- headache (in some cases, it is necessary to interrupt treatment);
- disorder of the natural activity of the stomach, painful and difficult digestion.

When taking the drug for a hemorrhoidal crisis, it is recommended to continue the ongoing therapy (prescribed in a short course). If there is no clinical effect, additional examination should be carried out and the treatment should be adjusted. There is information about the possible efficacy of the drug for the prevention of bleeding that can occur with the consequences of phlebectomy and the use of an intrauterine device.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
At the moment, no negative effect of the drug on the course of pregnancy and fetal development has been found.
If it is necessary to use diosmin during lactation, it is recommended to refuse breastfeeding (there is not enough information on the penetration of the drug into breast milk).
