Suspension for intramuscular injection Ginatren

Ginatren is a vaccine that restores the damaged vaginal microbiome.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

Ginatren is an immunostimulating drug, after the use of which specific and non-specific IgG antibodies (immunoglobulins G) are produced. It promotes the stimulation of polyclonal B-lymphocytes and increases the activity of macrophages. Due to the activation of antibodies, the elimination of opportunistic microorganisms is carried out, including gardnerella, which have a detrimental effect on the vaginal microflora and lead to constant exacerbations of bacterial vaginitis.

The drug eliminates the disorders that accompany relapses of the inflammatory disease, such as itching, burning sensation in the vaginal area, the appearance of leucorrhoea and an unpleasant odor. Also, vaccination prevents the development of relapses of trichomoniasis and reduces the risk of re-infection with pathogenic bacteria.

As a result of the action of the drug, the growth of vaginal lactobacilli (Dederlein sticks) occurs, which ensures a quick restoration of the normal bacterial flora and helps in achieving the pH of the vaginal mucosa of the physiological norm. Thus, Ginatren demonstrates a local effect and protects for a long time against the occurrence of relapses and reinfection of diseases.

Pharmacokinetics

The pharmacokinetics of the drug have not been studied.

Ginatren, instructions for use: method and dosage

The Ginatren vaccine is injected intramuscularly deeply slowly, preferably into the deltoid muscle of the shoulder.

The ampoule with the drug is vigorously shaken before opening. The turbidity of the solution observed in this case is the norm, since the active ingredient is not dissolved in it, but is evenly distributed in the form of particles.

The suspension is required to be used immediately after opening the ampoule. The liquid is drawn into a syringe with a needle, and then another needle is used for injection to avoid local damage.

The main vaccination should be carried out by three times injecting a suspension of 0.5 ml (contents of 1 ampoule) with an interval of 14 days. Re-immunization is carried out with the drug Booster-Ginatren after 6-12 months at a dose of 0.5 ml of suspension once.

These procedures provide protection from the development of recurrence of bacterial infections for 2 years, there may also be a longer or shorter period of immune protection. If necessary, reactivation is carried out with Booster-Ginatren after 24 months at a dose of 0.5 ml 1 time.

Side effects

When using Ginatren, the following negative side effects may develop:

  • local reactions: redness, swelling, soreness, or a feeling of tension at the injection site;
