Gastrikumel is a homeopathic medicine with anti-inflammatory, anti-ulcer, antispastic and sedative effects.
Release form and composition
The drug is available in the form of homeopathic sublingual tablets: round flat-cylindrical shape, from white to yellowish-white (yellowish or grayish blotches may be present), bevelled, odorless (50 pieces each in white polypropylene cases, 1 pencil case in a cardboard box).
Active substances and their content in 1 tablet:
- Strychnos nux-vomica (Nux vomica) [Strychnos nux-vomica (Nux vomica)] D4 - 60 mg;
- stibium sulfuratum nigrum (Stibium sulfuratum nigrum) D6 - 60 mg;
- carbo vegetabilis (Carbo veg.) D6 - 60 mg;
- pulsatilla pratensis (Pulsatilla) [Pulsatilla pratensis (Pulsatilla)] D4 - 60 mg;
- acidum arsenicosum (arsenicum album) [Acidum arsenicosum (Arsenicum album)] - D6 - 30 mg;
- argentum nitricum (Argentum nitricum) D6 - 30 mg.
Additional components: magnesium stearate, lactose.
Indications for use
Gastrikumel is a remedy for the elimination of dyspeptic disorders of the gastrointestinal tract (heartburn and flatulence) and the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the gastric mucosa (gastritis).
Contraindications
- children under 3 years old;
- hypersensitivity to drug components.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the drug can be used only as directed by a doctor.
Method of administration and dosage
Gastricumel is intended for oral use: the tablets should be kept under the tongue until they are completely dissolved. It is recommended to take the drug 30 minutes before meals or 1 hour after meals.
Adults are prescribed 1 tablet 3 times a day. In case of exacerbation, during the first two hours, you can take 1 tablet every 15 minutes. The maximum daily dose is 12 tablets.
The duration of therapy is 2–3 weeks. After consulting a doctor, a second course is possible.
Children over 3 years old should use the drug only as directed and under medical supervision.
Side effects
In case of increased individual sensitivity, Gastricumel may cause allergic reactions.

Information for patients with diabetes mellitus: 1 tablet contains 0.025 XE (bread unit).
The drug contains lactose, so it is not recommended for patients with congenital lactase deficiency, galactose / glucose malabsorption syndrome, congenital galactosemia.
At the beginning of the use of Gastrikumel, like any other homeopathic remedy, a temporary aggravation of the symptoms of the disease is possible (the so-called primary aggravation). Such patients should stop taking the drug and contact their doctor for advice.
