Vitrum Antioxidant - a complex of vitamins and minerals with an antioxidant effect.

Release form and composition

Dosage form - film-coated tablets: capsule-shaped, from red to dark red; the presence of a specific odor is possible (in a cardboard box 1 polyethylene bottle with a screw cap and a safety valve, containing 30, 50 or 60 tablets, and instructions for use of Vitrum Antioxidant).

Active ingredients in 1 tablet:

  • Retinol acetate and β-carotene (vitamin A) - 5000 international units (IU; equivalent to 1.55 mg or 4500 IU of retinol acetate and 300 μg or 500 IU of β-carotene);
  • ascorbic acid (vitamin C) - 250 mg;
  • dl-α tocopherol acetate (vitamin E) - 200 ME (corresponds to the content of 200 mg of dl-α tocopherol acetate);
  • zinc oxide (zinc) - 10 mg;
  • copper oxide (copper) - 1.1 mg;
  • manganese sulfate (manganese) - 2 mg;
  • sodium selenate (selenium) - 0.02 mg.

Auxiliary components: sodium croscarmellose - 15 mg; magnesium stearate - 20 mg; silicon dioxide - 50 mg; microcrystalline cellulose - 59.7 mg; stearic acid - 75 mg; calcium carbonate - 530.45 mg.

Vitrum Antioxidant is a complex of vitamins and minerals with pronounced antioxidant activity. Vitamin and mineral agent at the cellular level protects the body from the damaging effects of free radicals.

The pharmacological action is due to the properties of the active components that make up Vitrum Antioxidant:

  • retinol acetate and β-carotene (vitamin A): leads to the destruction of carcinogens and free radicals; potentiates the growth of phagocytic activity of leukocytes; contributes to the prevention of oncological, ophthalmological and cardiovascular pathologies;
  • dl-α tocopherol acetate (vitamin E): through inhibition of lipid oxidation and stabilization of metabolic and redox processes in the body, it has a pronounced effect on neutralizing the oxidative effect of free radicals and other substances; is a natural antioxidant;
  • ascorbic acid (vitamin C): increases the synthesis of antiviral protein molecules (interferons), thereby neutralizing many toxic substances and plays a major role in immunological reactions; normalizes capillary permeability and participates in tissue regeneration;
  • selenium: is a synergist of vitamin E; stimulates the formation of antibodies during infection, which has a positive effect on immunity and thyroid function; is a component of the glutathione peroxidase enzyme system, which protects biological membranes from the damaging effects of free radicals;
  • manganese: is one of the components of superoxide dismutase, which protects the body from the harmful effects of peroxide radicals; stimulates the synthesis of immunoglobulins;
  • zinc: promotes the absorption of vitamin A; is part of the antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase;
  • copper: accelerates recovery; takes part in the processes of energy exchange, the formation of erythrocytes and hemoglobin.
