Visiomax tablets

Visiomax is a biologically active food supplement (BAA), a source of substances such as zinc, manganese, vitamins B 6, B 12, E, C and folic acid; designed to protect the eyes and improve vision.

Release form and composition

300 mg tablets (60 pcs in a package).

Active ingredients in 1 tablet:

  • pycnogenol (Pinus maritima) - 5 mg;
  • grape peel extract - 6 mg;
  • extract of marigolds (Marigolds flower) - 60 mg (lutein - 3 mg, zeaxanthin - 0.15 mg);
  • blueberry extract - 9 mg;
  • zinc chelate - 2.5 mg;
  • manganese chelate - 1 mg;
  • folic acid - 0.15 mg;
  • vitamin B 12 (cyanocobalamin) - 0.0015 mg;
  • vitamin B 6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) - 1.1 mg;
  • vitamin E (a-tocopherol acetate) - 5 mg;
  • vitamin C (ascorbic acid) - 25 mg.

Component properties

  • pycnogenol: is an aqueous extract of the bark of the Mediterranean pine (Pinus maritima). It has antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antiplatelet, decongestant, vasodilating, antiproliferative, immunomodulatory, antimutagenic, chemo- and radioprotective effects. Due to its pronounced antioxidant activity, it is widely used for therapeutic / prophylactic purposes in diabetic retinopathy, bronchial asthma, chronic venous insufficiency and other diseases. The main physiological effect of pycnogenol is to strengthen the vascular wall and connective tissue. It protects cell membranes from free radical damage, promotes collagen maturation, prevents the spread of infectious and inflammatory processes and loosening of connective tissue. Pycnogenol significantly slows down the development of diabetic retinopathy, reduces the number of retinal hemorrhages with an increase in intraocular pressure, improves the antioxidant status of eye tissues and vision in general;
  • marigold extract: contains lutein and zeaxanthin - specific carotenoids that form the pigment of the optic spot. They contribute to the restoration of the optical density of the macular spot and improve the state of visual function, including the acuity of far / near vision, sensitivity to contrast and light, dark adaptation time, etc. Long-term combined use of lutein with vitamin A in retinal degeneration improves vision, especially in blue-eyed people … The beneficial effect of these carotenoids is enhanced when combined with antioxidant drugs;
  • grape peel extract: is a natural antioxidant complex like pycnogenol. It is made from the purple Vicus vinifera grape. The most important biologically active substances are proanthocyanidins, and, in particular, resveratrol, which has a pronounced antiplatelet activity. In general, grape peel extract helps to improve microcirculation, it is effective in the treatment of retinopathies, angiopathies, as well as inflammatory processes;
  • bilberry extract: contains a wide range of biologically active compounds, the most valuable of which are anthocyanidins (petunidin, cyanidin, delphinidin, malvidin, peonidin). They have an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect, reduce thrombus formation, reduce the tone of the vascular wall, improve the rheological properties of blood, as well as retinal trophism, which allows it to be used as an effective remedy in patients with retinal lesions of various etiologies;
  • manganese: a trace element that is involved in energy metabolism. Its deficiency is noted in many visual impairments - night blindness, decreased visual acuity, cataract, retinopathy;
  • zinc: a trace mineral that plays an important role in the maintenance of cell viability and division as it participates in the processes of protein and DNA synthesis. It is considered to be one of the essential elements of antioxidant protection that ensure the induction of metallothionins, suppression of the formation of peroxy radical from peroxide, and protection of sulfhydryl groups. A deficiency of this trace element can lead to a significant decrease in the ability of the eyes to adapt in the dark, and also become a predisposing factor in the development of myopia;
  • vitamins C and E: are universal antioxidants present in all organs and systems. They increase the degree of antioxidant protection of tissues in various metabolic disorders, including visual impairment;
  • cyanocobalamin (vitamin B 12): helps to improve the biochemical and morphological parameters of blood and reduce cholesterol levels in atherosclerosis, activates carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, participates in the synthesis of methionine, choline, creatinine and nucleic acids, has a beneficial effect on the nervous system and liver;
  • pyridoxine (vitamin B 6): takes an active part in the decarboxylation and transamination of amino acids (methionine, tryptophan, cysteine, glutamic acid, etc.);
  • folic acid: participates in many metabolic processes, improves morphological and biochemical parameters of blood, participates in the synthesis of amino acids, nucleic acids, pyrimidines and purines, as well as in the metabolism of choline.

In the complex, all components of Visiomax have the following effect:

  • antioxidant (zeaxanthin, lutein, pycnogenol, grape peel extract, manganese, zinc, vitamins C and E);
  • maculoprotective (zeaxanthin, lutein);
  • retinotropic (all components);
  • metabolic (mainly in relation to nervous tissue - manganese, vitamins B 6 and B 12, folic acid, etc.);
  • angioprotective (grape peel extract, pycnogenol).

Indications for use

Visiomax is recommended to be taken as a source of zinc, manganese, vitamins B 6, B 12, E, C and folic acid as a therapeutic and prophylactic agent, the action of which is aimed at preventing unwanted processes in the retina associated with excessive load on the visual apparatus and / or age. Also, the use of dietary supplements is possible for the prevention of eye complications in metabolic, autoimmune and systemic diseases.

Contraindications

Contraindication to taking Visiomax is the presence of hypersensitivity to its components.

Recommendations for use

Visiomax is taken orally, at the same time as meals, 2 tablets per day.

The duration of the course is 2 months. The interval between courses is 2 months.

The supplement can be prescribed for patients with diabetes.
