Pharmacological action of vitamin Berocca

Berocca is a vitamin and mineral complex that is designed to replenish the deficiency of vitamin C and B vitamins, as well as magnesium and calcium.

There are two types of this drug: Berocca calcium and magnesium (effervescent tablets with an orange flavor) and Berocca Plus (film-coated tablets). Berrocca calcium and magnesium have the following composition: vitamin C - 1000 mg, vitamins B ₁ and B ₂ - 15 mg each, vitamin B ₆ - 10 mg, vitamin B ₁₂ - 10 μg, biotin - 150 μg, pantothenic acid - 23 mg, nicotinamide - 50 mg, calcium and magnesium - 100 mg each.

Berocca Plus contains the same vitamins and minerals as the effervescent form of the drug. The difference is that Berocca Plus is supplemented with folic acid (0.4 mg) and zinc (10 mg), and the ascorbic acid content is halved (500 mg).

Thanks to their components, Berocca vitamins are capable of:

stimulate the formation of bone and connective tissue, normalize capillary permeability;
improve the activity and development of the nervous system, provide conditions for the transmission of nerve impulses to muscles;
stimulate the metabolism of nervous and muscle tissue;

The instructions to Berocca indicate diseases in which the drug is taken with caution: bowel disease, atrophic gastritis, pancreatic disease, congenital deficiency of internal Castle factor or vitamin B ₁₂ deficiency syndrome.
