Artichoke extract is a preparation / biologically active food supplement of plant origin with hepatoprotective, choleretic, diuretic action.

Release form and composition

Dosage forms of release:

  • tablets - biologically active food additive - 550 or 590 mg each (20 or 60 pcs. in a package);
  • capsules: hard gelatinous, with a body and a lid from orange-brown to brown; the capsules contain a finely granular powder from dark to light brown with a gray tint (10 pieces in blisters, 3 or 6 blisters in a cardboard box);
  • oral solution: from dark brown to brown, has a specific odor; during storage, the formation of a greenish tint, opalescence and precipitation are permissible (in glass or polymer bottles of 100 ml, 1 bottle in a cardboard box, complete with a dosing device).

Each pack also contains instructions for the use of Artichoke extract.

Composition of 1 tablet:

  • active substance: artichoke extract - 300 mg (including hydroxycinnamic acids - 12 mg);
  • auxiliary components: microcrystalline cellulose and lactose (fillers), croscarmellose sodium, colloidal silicon dioxide, stearic acid and vegetable calcium stearate (anti-caking additives).

Composition of 1 capsule:

  • active substance: dry artichoke extract - 100 or 300 mg (in the form of a thick artichoke extract (7.5: 1) from fresh grass);
  • auxiliary components: calcium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide, polysorbate 80.

Composition of 1 ml solution for oral administration:

  • active substance: dry artichoke extract - 100 mg (in the form of a thick artichoke extract (7.5: 1); extractant - purified water);
  • auxiliary components: sodium saccharin, glycerin, 96% ethanol, methylparaben (E 218), sorbitol (E 420), propylparaben (E 216), purified water.

Such biologically active substances as vitamins B 1 and B 2, carotene, ascorbic acid, insulin, contribute to the normalization of metabolic processes.

Pills

The Artichoke extract tablet is taken orally, preferably during a meal.

Single dose - 2 tablets, frequency of administration - 2 times a day.

Duration of admission is up to 30 days. After 10 days, the doctor may prescribe a second course.

Capsules, oral solution

The solution and capsules are taken orally, preferably before meals for 15-30 minutes.

The doctor sets the dosage regimen individually (determined by the severity of the condition).

The recommended single dose (with a frequency of taking 3 times a day):

  • 100 mg capsules: children 6-12 years old - 1 capsule, adults and children from 12 years old - 2-3 capsules;
  • 300 mg capsules: adults and children from 12 years old - 1 capsule;
  • solution for oral administration: children 6-12 years old - 1 ml, adults and children from 12 years old - 2-3 ml; shake the bottle with the solution before taking; a single dose is diluted in a small volume of water (30 ml - about 2 tablespoons).
