Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Actoflor-S is a new generation metabiotic, which is a complex of amino acids and organic acids - analogs of metabolites of probiotic bacteria. The synergistic action of the components included in the complex contributes to an increase in physiological activity and stimulates the growth of a person's own beneficial microflora and its antagonistic activity in relation to pathogenic microorganisms.
The human intestinal microflora performs many functions, the main of which is metabolic. Bacteria produce metabolites that act as signaling molecules. They have a direct effect on metabolism, functions of the brain, liver, intestines, as well as processes in muscle and adipose tissue.
The complex of bacterial metabolites and amino acids in the composition of Actoflora-S has the following effects:
- restoring the balance of the intestinal microflora, which can be disturbed due to diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, stress, unbalanced nutrition, poor environmental conditions, etc.;
- elimination of symptoms of intestinal disorders (in the form of diarrhea, constipation, bloating, pain);
- improving metabolism;
- preventing the development of side effects of antibiotic therapy;
- positive effect on immunity, which contributes to an increase in the body's overall resistance to stress and infections.
L-glutamic acid, succinic acid and the essential amino acids L-methionine and L-lysine are the most active growth stimulators of the probiotic strain E. coli M-17, which is recommended by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation for the purpose of using coliform probiotics as part of immunobiological preparations. According to current data, L-methionine is the most effective natural antioxidant.
The components of the Aktoflor-S solution, in particular succinic acid, have a positive effect on the proliferative activity of cells of the immune tissue, which stimulates human immunity.
Sodium acetate is one of the growth stimulants of bifidobacteria and other representatives of normal microflora. In combination with formic and lactic acids, it increases the antagonistic activity of the intestinal microflora, preventing the overgrowth of opportunistic bacteria and inhibiting the growth of pathogenic strains of Escherichia coli, as well as Salmonella enterica, leading to the development of salmonellosis.
In adipocytes, intestinal epithelial cells, immune and other cells, acetate interacts with specific protein receptors (GPR40, GPR41, GPR43). The process is accompanied by the induction of the expression of genes that are responsible for the production of a number of hormones involved in the synthesis of energy sources, regulation of appetite and satiety, intestinal motility, and other functions.
Sodium acetate helps to increase blood circulation in the intestinal mucosa, is an energy substrate for the tissues of the kidneys, heart, brain, and muscle tissue. In combination with lactic acid, acetate regulates the pH level, secretory and motor activity of the intestine, and has an antimicrobial effect. Along with succinic and formic acids, the substance is the main intermediate of microbial metabolism, which takes part in the biosynthesis of other metabolites important for the body - propionic and butyric acids.
L-glutamic acid is essential for protein and carbohydrate metabolism. It is a powerful neurotransmitter, prevents a decrease in the oxidation-reduction potential, increases the body's resistance to hypoxia, helps to normalize metabolism, changing the functional state of the endocrine and nervous systems. As a result of its decarboxylation by intestinal bacteria, GABA (γ-aminobutyric acid) is formed, which is another important mediator of the central nervous system. Under its influence, energy processes in the brain are activated, its blood supply improves, the respiratory activity of tissues increases, and glucose utilization improves.
Against the background of the combined action of eight amino acids (L-leucine, L-alanine, L-aspartic acid, glycine, L-valine, L-glutamic acid, L-methionine and L-lysine), four of which are essential amino acids, significantly increases efficiency and activity of the regulatory metabolites of Aktoflora-S.
All components of the supplement have a pronounced synergistic effect, in the absence of at least one of them, the effectiveness of its effect is significantly reduced.
Actoflor-C is hypoallergenic, does not possess immunotoxic properties, and does not cause side effects with prolonged use. Supplements can be combined with any type of treatment, as well as taken during and after antibiotic therapy.
Indications for use
Actoflor-S is recommended as a metabiotic in order to restore intestinal microflora and normalize its metabolic activity, as well as an additional source of amino acids, including essential ones, and organic acids, which have a proven regulatory effect.
Contraindications
The use of Aktoflora-S is contraindicated in the presence of individual intolerance to its components.
