Akti-5 is a general tonic drug used in pediatrics to improve metabolism in children.
Release form and composition
The drug is produced in the form of a syrup in bottles of 125 ml.
100 ml of syrup contains:
- 1 g dimethylaminoethanol glutamate;
- 3 g calcium gluconoglucoheptonate;
- 4 g of lysine monochlorohydrate;
- 0.5 ml of phosphoric acid;
- 15 g sorbitol.
Indications for use
Akti-5 is prescribed for stunted growth, physical development, asthenia, poor appetite and anorexia.
The use of Akti-5 is recommended in case of a sharp decrease in school performance, and during the period of the child's recovery after serious illnesses.
Contraindications
You can not appoint Akti-5 to children suffering from epilepsy, hypersensitivity to the components of the syrup, as well as those who have obstruction of the bile ducts.
Method of administration and dosage
In accordance with the instructions for Akti-5, the syrup is given to children from 2.5 to 6 years old, 2-3 teaspoons per day. The daily allowance for children 6 years old and older is 4-6 teaspoons.
It is recommended to take the drug 15 minutes before meals.
Side effects
Taking the drug can cause itching of the skin, insomnia, headache, abdominal pain, diarrhea (even with a history of functional constipation).
special instructions
If a child is diagnosed with diabetes mellitus, it should be borne in mind that 5 ml of the drug contains 1.925 g of sugar.
Despite the fact that the syrup is an over-the-counter vacation list, it is recommended to use Akti-5 only as directed by a doctor.
