The diet helps to improve metabolism, strengthen the walls of blood vessels. This has a beneficial effect on the general condition: lightness appears, activity and vitality increase, sleep is normalized, the emotional background is leveled.

Disadvantages and contraindications of the "Cherry diet"

Despite all the benefits of cherries, you should not get too carried away with the diet. Berries contain acids that can negatively affect the lining of the esophagus and stomach. For this reason, the diet is contraindicated for people suffering from esophagitis, gastritis, peptic ulcer disease.

What foods are allowed?

The diet, in addition to cherries, includes:

  • chicken fillet;
  • low-fat fish;
  • eggs;
  • whole wheat bread;
  • oat groats;
  • low fat dairy products - milk, natural yogurt, cheese;
  • vegetables - potatoes, carrots, white cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplants, bell peppers, lettuce, greens;
  • Strawberry;
  • walnuts;
  • honey;
  • olive oil for salad dressing;
  • freshly squeezed fruit juices;
  • green tea.

What foods are prohibited?

  • Sugar and any confectionery.
  • Bakery products.
  • Fatty meat and fish.
  • High fat milk and dairy products.
  • Smoked, spicy, canned, pickled, salted foods.
  • Alcohol.
