Pharmacological action of Phytolysin

Release form and composition
Phytolysin is produced in the form of a paste that is soft in consistency and has a green-brown color and a specific aromatic odor. 100 g of paste contains 67.2 g of a condensed aqueous-alcoholic extract of a mixture of medicinal plants: Wheatgrass rhizomes, onion husks, Fenugreek seeds, Birch leaves, Goldenrod grass, Parsley root, Highlander herb, Horsetail grass, Lovage root. In addition, Phytolysin contains: Nipagin A, Agar, Orange oil, Wheat starch, Peppermint oil, Sage oil, Pine oil, Glycerin, Vanillin.
Indications for use of Phytolysin
The use of Phytolysin is indicated in the following cases:
- Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract (cystitis, pyelonephritis, chronic calculous pyelonephritis);
- Treatment of urolithiasis, especially if there are contraindications to its surgical treatment, as well as the prevention of its recurrence.
Contraindications
The drug is contraindicated in glomerulonephritis and acute nephrosis. According to the instructions, Phytolysin should not be used for phosphate nephrourolithiasis. The use of Phytolysin during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.
Method of using Phytolysin
The drug is taken orally three to four times a day, one teaspoon, after diluting the paste in half a glass of warm boiled water.
Children are prescribed Phytolysin depending on age - from a quarter to a half of a teaspoon of paste at the reception. According to reviews, Phytolysin can be diluted in sweetened water. In this case, children are more willing to drink the resulting solution.
Side effects
