Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
The direct neuroreparative effect of Cellex is due to the presence of tissue-specific receptor proteins and polypeptides in the preparation, which are factors of growth and differentiation of nerve cells. The mechanism of action is to regulate the concentration of the pool of biologically active neurotransmitters and inhibit the diffusion of excitatory amino acids.
By stimulating the process of synaptogenesis, restoring autophagy signals, increasing tissue immunoregulation, and inhibiting the immunogenic cytotoxicity of macrophages, Cellex promotes the activation of secondary neuroprotection. The drug has a tissue-specific and systemic reparative effect, restoring the regenerative and reparative potential of brain cells, improving microcirculation and general perfusion and reducing the number of damaged cells and the severity of perifocal edema in the penumbra area, which significantly limits the focus of brain tissue necrosis.
Due to the restoration and regulatory stimulation of various compartments of the central nervous system with a systemic effect of growth factors, differentiation and neurotransmitters, as a result of the use of Cellex, there is a decrease in the recovery and rehabilitation periods in case of damage to the central and peripheral nervous system of vascular origin, as well as restoration of sensory, motor and cognitive functions. The therapeutic effect of the drug, as a rule, develops within 3-5 days from the beginning of its administration.
Pharmacokinetics
Cellex has a complex composition, its active fraction includes a balanced and stable mixture of biologically active proteins and polypeptides, which have a total multifunctional effect, which makes it difficult to carry out the usual pharmacokinetic analysis of individual components of the drug.
Indications for use
- cerebrovascular diseases;
- disorders of cerebral circulation in the acute phase and in the early rehabilitation period of the course of the disease (as part of complex therapy).
Contraindications
Absolute:
- manic psychosis;
- epilepsy;
- delirium;
- productive delirium;
- age up to 18 years.
Relative (Cellex's appointment requires special care):
- arterial hypertension of a malignant course in the phase of decompensation;
- sympathoadrenal crises like panic attacks;
- severe anxiety-depressive disorders;
- a history of allergic reactions to protein-peptide drugs.
Instructions for the use of Cellex: method and dosage
Cellex solution is injected subcutaneously through a sterile syringe filter with a pore size of 0.22 μm, which is included in the kit.
Method of administration: a solution is drawn into the syringe in the required amount, the needle is removed, then a sterile syringe filter and a new needle are put on the syringe. The preparation is ready to use.
Adults are recommended to inject Cellex at a dose of 0.1–0.2 mg subcutaneously once a day for 10 days, depending on the severity of the patient's condition. If necessary, it is possible to repeat the course in 10 days.
