Gorpils is a local combined antiseptic drug used in the pharyngeal cavity and mouth, which helps to relieve irritation and pain in infectious and inflammatory diseases.
Release form and composition
The dosage form of Gorpils is strawberry, orange, honey-lemon, lemon, menthol-eucalyptus pastilles: biconvex, round, with a rough surface, the presence of air bubbles in the caramel mass, uneven coloring and slight unevenness of the edges, may appear white bloom (dusting); strawberry - red, predominant smell - strawberry; orange - orange, predominant smell - orange; lemon - light yellow, the predominant smell is lemon; lemon-honey - light yellow, the predominant smell is lemon and honey; menthol-eucalyptus - from blue to greenish-blue, the predominant smell is menthol and eucalyptus (6 or 12 pcs. in blisters, in a cardboard box 2 blisters; 8 pcs. in strips, in a cardboard box 25 strips; 4 pcs. in strips, in a carton box 3 or 6 strips).
Active ingredients in 1 lozenge:
- amylmetacresol - 0.6 mg;
- 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol - 1.2 mg.
Auxiliary components: sucrose, anhydrous citric acid, levomenthol, peppermint leaf oil (menthol oil), anise seed oil (anise oil), liquid dextrose (glucose); strawberry - strawberry flavor, crimson color (Ponso 4R); orange - orange flavor, sunset yellow dye; lemon honey - honey, concentrated lemon oil, honey flavor, quinoline yellow dye; lemon - concentrated lemon oil, quinoline yellow dye; menthol-eucalyptus - rod-shaped eucalyptus leaf oil (eucalyptus oil), mint flavor, blue diamond dye.
Indications for use
Gorpils is prescribed for the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the pharynx and mouth (to relieve pain when swallowing).
Contraindications
- age up to 5 years;
- individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
Nursing and pregnant women can use Gorpils only in cases where the expected benefit is higher than the possible harm.
Method of administration and dosage
Gorpils is taken orally, dissolving the lozenge in the mouth until it is completely dissolved.
Single dose - 1 lozenge.
Adults take Gorpils every 2 hours (maximum - 8 lozenges per day), children - every 4 hours.
